We are negotiating right now and the sales guy is telling us about a Hummer Sunroof that the dealer can install. Any input on this?

It is not a Hummer sunroof. It is some aftermarket sunroof.
I wrote service for over 17 years, and had nothing but returns for leaks on aftermarket sunroofs. Don't do it.

Thanks for the advice. When we talked back with the sales guy he said that the dealer wouldn't actually install, a local place would. They supposedly use a laser to cut now. I just don't like the thought of cutting through that pretty paint. We are going to pass on it and keep looking.

In addition to all the other comments, a dealer installed sunroof is not warranted by GM. Therefore, if you are on a trip, and it breaks, another Hummer dealer does not have to honor that warranty. The sellling dealer can make an agreement with the servicing dealer, but the servicing dealer has no legal responsibility to uphold the warranty, and the servicing dealer may not have the parts available to service.

We held out for the factory installed sun-roof because it was one of the features that we really wanted. They had some H3s with dealer-installed sun-roofs but they had air deflectors on top and were smaller. The factory unit has a deflector that pops up to deflect the air.
When the salesman took us on a short drive to locate our H3 in the storage lots, he took us in one that had a dealer installed unit and...oops! it wouldn't open. It also had about five buttons rather than the simple rocker switch on the genuine article.

OEM SUNROOF > aftermarket sunroofs.
Of all the GM vehicles I have owned, this is the best sunroof yet! Auto open/ close and it's huge.

I agree about the OEM sunroof, one of the best in the business. No way do I want somebody taking a hacksaw (or a laser) to cut a hole in my roof after the fact.
