My friend has this on his XJ. THe dimensions allow it to fit it on the H3 with different mounting brackets. We could also remove those weak quarter plastic pieces of junk with the 1/4" steel ends. I was just wanting to see if anyone else would be interested in this. With this option you could mount the swingarm tire carrier with mounts for 2 J-Cans and a high lift back there. It would keep heavy stuff like that off the top. THe rear departure angle would benefit as well. The hitch would be higher and out of the way.

I'd rather see something like what SMA had planned.

If you're going to replace the rear bumper, the two main things I would want would be tow hooks on both sides and the swing away tire carrier.

Plus that one looks like crap. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I think that something like this would be better than the thin set up we have. It would be easy to make it with a dual tow hook design and use the swingarn tire carrier.

CHeck out their carriers.

Tire Carriers (http://www.durango4x4.com/tirecarriers.html)

I woul dlike to see if anyone else has ideas on this. I remember seeing the H2 swingarm carrier mounted to a custom bumper. Has anyone else heard about that?

That's better. There was actually a guy on Ebay that was fabbing something similar to that, but it didn't have the tow hooks. I can't find it anymore though.
