I'll get one for my wife's Tahoe but there are not stop lights on the trail anyway, only boulders to slow you down. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I asked a cop friend of mine about this idea years ago and he said you'd get ticketed most generously for interfering with a traffic control device. The most generously part calmed me down pretty quick.

The local traffic dept. replaced the wires for the turn lane by our factory and now the turn lite is always red.
I called the PD and since this is in FRONT of the PS, I don't like running the red lite.

The dispatcher said RUN it.

DRTYFN is right. I have cop friends who say the same. Even in the ad for the device it says "...and it may be perfectly legal anyway".

But if you want to change the light, save the $300 and just flash your high-beams over and over. That is what the police use to trigger the light change.

Hey!

I may look like a troll but I'm not!

To be honest I tried it once late at night when no one else was around and it changed, but was it because of my lights, or was it just time to change? I got nervous doing it when other people where around. I didn't want to get caught or look like a fool flashing my lights at the intersection.

Bzzzt! Wrong! The traffic light can be affected by a particular frequency of strobe light but I highly doubt that you could simulate this with your headlights!
