Susan Docherty was on Autoline Detroit this morning and had a good interview. If you have Speedvision ( DTV 607 ) it will be replayed on Tuesday morning at 7:30 Central time. The program guide won't tell you anything, but I always record this program and this is always a repeat.

Did she say anything of interest?

Some hints, if you know what has been planned. Just an overall good interview with her about Hummer and the sucess it is having and what direction they are going.

Thanks a bunch, H3 Builder. Fun discussion.
Susan Docherty really gets it, I'm glad she's
the general manager of Hummer. She's seems like
Steve Jobs as far as doing what is good.

I just did a Google search and found that
Autoline video online as a RealPlayer stream, at:
http://www.autolinedetroit.tv/autoline/archives_2006.php

(Hey, Susan said "no one needs a Hummer"
meaning they want one but don't
really need one. Hmmm, I disagree...)

I like the capability comparison with
Hummer vehicles being offroad capable
vs. watches being waterproof to 1000 meters...

Susan, when you do go with a hybrid engine
(down the road), make it a PLUG-IN capable hybrid!
(Then we can plug in our cars to electrical
outlets and run purely on electric motors until
we need to use gas.)

I also happened to see the CEO of General Motors
Rick Wagoner on a TV interview program this
morning (Sunday). I like how he emphasized the
importance of designing vehicles that people
want. There was an H3 in the background
(as well as a Corvette -- there was a gorgeous
black new Z06 on the showroom floor next to the
white H3 I bought!)

Just caught the replay of the interview. Not bad. She didn't say much that we haven't heard before, but she seems to have a fairly good grasp on preserving the nature of the Hummer brand.

And on top of all that, she's a bit of a hottie.

Glad to hear that Susan has a grasp of what Hummer is about. I've read some of her stuff and she seems okay.

I was at the San Jose international autoshow last weekend and went to the Hummer display of course. A lot of people checking out the H3's, but not much activity around the various versions of the H2.
