I pulled my 2 place aluminum trailer with 2 snowmobiles to northern Michigan this past weekend and I got a whopping 10 mpg! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
My old Yukon with a V8 got better than that!
I guess thats the price I gotta pay to ride in style http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Of course the Yukon got better mileage. That V8 didn't have to struggle as much as the I5 to pull the extra weight. Hell, the Yukon probably didn't even know a trailer was behind it. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Where in Michigan ? I have a place near Kalkaska .
Just hooked on to my sleds today with a larger enclosed trailer , took it for a test ride . Hummer seems stable but i can see where 10 mpg would happen .
Depending on where im headed i may still pull them with my 4x4 dually cummins .

14mpg's with 35's. I was getting that in the H2 with 37's as long as I wasn't going up over the pass in the mountains.

Do you think the h3 will safely flat-tow a Subaru Outback cross-country without exploding into a million pieces? I am planning doing so in August? West to East. In other words will my baby die of exhaustion if I ride her too hard. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
you could take turns in each vehicle. Tow for a while and than push with the Subaru for a while. I wouldn't do it. that Subuaru weighs quite a bit...esp. to tow XCountry.

Lowest I've seen is about 14.3 mpg, but I'm not doing any towing or heavy duty wheeling.

Nice Picture.
I now live in Hawaii, but grew up on the east coast and spent many years riding snowmobiles. I took many trips with my father to up state NY Old Forge, and we would ride all day and night. The photo brings back some great memmories and just wanted to thank you for posting it.

tim, the outback only wieghs 3200lbs, but I still had my doubts that it would tow it. I guess I was kidding myself thinking that the towing cap. rated @ 4700lbs was enough. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>You could do it, but I'd take precautions with the transmission and get another cooler to lay inline with the stock one. You'll also be hating life going through the passes out west.
