If you have a rear tire carrier the one that replaces the light is not as good but there is another good option.

Here is the one you were referring to: http://www.trailduty.com/products/hitchcam/hcam.html

Here is on where you can mount the camera anywhere you want: http://www.trailduty.com/products/hitchcam/ucam.html

If you have a sunroof, this camera is great! The monitor mounts in front of the overhead consol with an OEM style look and color.
I have it in my H2 and it works like a charm.

I have an Eclipse navigation unit and used a matching Eclipse backup camera (BEC104). I made a mounting plate out of aluminum and painted it black. Sorry about the picture quality (they were taken with my phone...)

and a nice view of my spare tire... It is much better than having no camera at all. I didn't want a hitch mount camera as I regularly tow a trailer.

Sweet! I'm looking at the eclipse head unit. I'm still trying to decide between that or the kenwood. I love having a double din screen instead of a pop out. I did get the factory nav radio....every black one on the lot had it.

Sorry Philly i am new here so i don't know what year your truck is. But I bought a pac-audio mod for the factory nav to display video on that. It was easy to install and looks nice. The only issue is it gives you only one video input. But I put a DVD player where the Onstar was and it has 2 extra inputs. Don't know if i helped any but i thought it was cool.
