I think the yupterra would do fine when the trail turns into a river.

Let him go.:giggling:

Besides, camping in mud and rain is pretty much equal to sleeping on a used mattress- he'll be fine.:giggling: :giggling:

I'll bet that if you scrounge up a few bucks y'all could get the Shagster to drink some of that water.

If I can't bring 20% more money that I usually carry (For moochers like Shaggy.), I won't be able to come either.:giggling:

no but! I set it up there because now it's on rocks, and I can get the feel for laying on a really hard bumpy surface before I go. Emma loves it! Weve been having a tea party. I tripped on the door when I was getting out, and almost got knocked out by my potted tree... prolly outta put the rainfly on right, huh?

I wouldn't worry about the rain thingy Rocks, it is so unlikely that it will rain, I think DRTY was just trying to scare everybody....

There has been no rain the 1st week in October since 1985 :D

It will most likely be in the low to mid 80's. Bring shorts, and a suit so we can go swimmin':D

I am serious about going. What route are you taking down there H2 Rocks!? Definitely want to know more details!

Are you still planning on going?
I-5 = 607 miles and roughly 10 hrs (prolly more like 8 or 9)
I-5 is definitely faster, and cut over to Chico and head down the highway to Auburn and across to Georgetown. Bebe, does that sound like the best way to avoid traffic delays?

The shortest route on the map is straight down highway 395 to Redding and then down thru Chico and over. Calculates to 587 miles and 11 hrs on the GPS. I know this route is slower with more windie roads. (is windie a word?:giggling:)

If you are thinking I-5 to Hwy 99 (Chico) to Hwy 70 (Marysville) to Hwy 20 (Grass Valley) to Hwy 49 (Auburn) to Hwy 193 (Georgetown)???

Ick! Small 2 lane farm roads with lots of trucks doing 45 mph. (and tractors that dart across the hiway:eek: )

You would save time on I-5 to I-80 to Hwy 49 to Hwy 193. Traffic on Thursday really is not that bad.

(Fridays are a nightmare with all the Bay Area peeps going to Tahoe.)

When I came up to OR in April, there was road construction all the way up I-5. Should be clear by now. Still took me 10 hours to Hillsboro.

Traffic will be bad coming in to Sacramento during rush hour from Business 80 to Roseville, then it clears up. And, rush hour here is short. Say from 4:30 to 6PM.

Otherwise Take I-5 to Hwy 20 (Colusa) thru Marysville/Yuba City, to Hwy 65 (Rocklin) to I-80 E , to Hwy 49 (Auburn), to Hwy 193 (Georegetown). The small hiways going thru have traffic and stop lights thru town.

Hope that helps.

I could have just said no....go this way...:giggling:
