Try to make it through this Lion's Back video. Talk about a drama queen. Be sure to listen, though.

AWESOME. I can't say I wasn't thinking that same sh1t in my head and I wasn't even driving. Though I am typing this while it is still on and I can here him commenting at the top. "I'm going to get credit for this."
![]() ![]() ![]() It was like doing it again though. ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know what is worse the instability of the Jeep or not being able to see sh1t beyond a huge Hummer hood. ![]() |
LOL..."soemone on the forum said I should have my locker on."
|
Cool video, but the guy is freaking hyperventalating!!! Why didn't he get the other guy with him to spot him when he turned around? What a dork. He should have followed someone up there who had been before. He was in a jeep for crying out loud. I did a three point turn the first time I went up and I was in my H1!
Make sure you watch/listen to the entire clip - he really loses it going back down. Best line was "Here's my $10, I want to die". He even starts talking to GOD. I was talking to my brakes the entire way back down. |
He's too anxious for his own good, but he was pretty funny at times.
|
I think the camera was on a tripod mounted in the jeep. Either way LOL.. ROFLMAO. While I haven't driven it yet I've ridden and video taped it twice and it didn't seam that bad but I wasn't driving and that may bring a whole different level of OMFG factor

On the next one, I'm going to be the last guy to go and go up backwards.

What a rush! Props for doing it alone. ![]() He mentioned a Hummer was watching him? |
Made my hands sweat just like the first time we did it. But damn, that guy likes to hear himself talk. I could barely hear his piss dripping on the Heep's floorboards.

That guy is a PUSS, but it's pretty funny listening to him.

Does walking it count?

If you walked up and were able to pee off the side & hit the gound below it would definitely count... |

Dunno. No rational explanation for it. |
This is a great shot by Lonnie |
That is a great shot! It must have been right before I slid down off the wall.

That is a great shot!!!!! That was the best day I've had on that trail yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a blast and was glad that I finally saw some H1's in action. That was the first time I have wheeled with H1's. WAtching OMA, NOMO, and Genesee was a lot fun. I want an H1 even more now. ![]() |

I was so torn when I didn't follow you guys. I have been to alot of places but I had no rear locker...don't know if I neededed it (advice anyone)...and I listened to someone who said it would be tough in a 5 speed. I no longer believe it. The locker may have been an issue along with the street tires...but I think I should have and could have gone for it. (also remembering the wife in my head saying.."please don't do it". Never should have shown her that bronco video.) Should have gone up...next time probably. |

![]() NEO: glad you're on your way home! I'm bummed out I wasn't there to wheel with everyone. I would like to have met more of the H1 folks too. NOMO; nice to finally meet you. There's always next time! ![]() |

![]() ![]() BTW, love the color. ![]() |
At one point someone said we should all have our forum names on our plates to help identify ourselves. I usually go by LVS, but someone already had it when I registered here so I just made up OMA because I live hear Omaha. It's kinda stupid!
I love that picture of Lion's Back! |
Change it to "Hell's Angel"- DO NOW!
![]() ![]() It was cool to see the H1 guys out there. I liked that guy with the racoon. ![]() X2 on meeting NoMo/Tookie. In fact when I met him- I liked him so much I trusted him with my life on Escalator the next day. ![]() ![]() |

Damn right! You WILL be there for the Spike with us! Make reservations...DO NOW!!! ![]() |

x2 ![]() Fun thread. I learnt more about tie rods than I had ever thought to ask (forget my question about them on another thread). Nice pictures from all but dang, Fubar's and KenP's avatars are distracting (in a nice way ![]() Question: I saw that some brought along gas tanks, was extra gas needed on the trails by all the vehicles or were you all able to fill up each day somewhere off trails? |
There are several gas stations in Moab so filling up each morning is not a problem. White Rim being 90 miles long and by the book requiring 2 days to complete you might want some extra gas along but for many of the trails in Moab the need for extra gas cans is not a necessity.
