I needed a toy that would work as a backup car, my GMC Safari Van had just turned over 200K, my 300zxtt had turned 110K, it is a lot of fun but there is ltiile else I can or want to do to modify it without getting completely ridiculous.
I had driven the Z71 Suburban of a friend of mine and really liked it but it was too big for me, I was almost ready to close in on a Z71 Tahoe when I talked to a friend of mine that pointed me at the Hummer. My initial reaction was that it was too much of an off road vehicle adn too big, he drug me out to a Hummer dealer in Ontario, I sat in one and decided that I had to have it, I called my car broker and I bought it that day. Ihad also decided that I wanted something that stood out a bit adn that people were either goin gto love it or absolutely hate is (as a couple tree huggers in town do) other vehicles, not real impressive but here it is 82 S10 pickup 85 S10 Blazer 87 Corvette Convertable 74 Nissan 260z - SCCA ITS (injured at Sears Point, lost its life at 130 mph in the chicane at Portland) 71 Nissan 240z - SCCA ITS (lost its life in an engine fire back straight of Willow Springs, started in the aircleaner during a pit stop) boy that was warm in the cockpit with no brakes... 85 F250 - Tow vehicle 85 GMC crew cab dually - Tow Vehicle 90 Pace american 32 ft enclosed race trailer 85 Trans AM 84 Honda V65 Magna 77 Honda 550 Super Sport 80 Yamaha 750 Special 93 GMC Safarri Van H2 Black Lux, Air Suspension, AEM Intake, soon to be blacked out... When they first came out they peaked my curiosity. After looking at them in person and seeing what they were all about, I had to have one. I also was looking for the ultimate toy (hence the yellow) that would double as a mode of transportation. Kill two birds with one stone so to speak. Now I am anxiously awaiting some snow here in Jersey and possibly even a state of emergency (tons of snow and all roads closed) to take this bad boy out for a spin. Pevious Vehicles include:
