I was looking at one of the Colorado truck forums and found these video's with sound. The guy has used a Flowmaster 50 Delta flow series. As we know the Colorado truck has the same I-5 engine.

What do you think? I can always ask a local muffler shop to make a custom exhaust.

Cool Link H3Eric, that doesnt sound bad at all.
How would you mount that? forward where the front Res would be or in the back with a short drop off tail pipe like the factory ?

H3Eric 12-28-2005 03:20 AM

I think you could mount it the same way as the one in the zoomers exhaust pictures earlier in this thread.

Aren't all these exhaust systems just a different muffler, some piping and a couple "TIPS". A muffler for $100.00 and two tips at $50 each with a muffler shop welding it all together shouldn't be more than $250 or $300 bucks. Am I missing something? The dyno charts all pretty much look the same to me (not that I know what they mean). I will be upgrading my exhaust but at what price? Am I just paying for a pretty package when I buy the system complete? And, these tips will be torn off or at least damaged with any sort of offroading except maybe fireroads.

hmrlvr-

Dude! I completely agree. If we are talking about power, a flowmaster Series 50 w/single exhaust installed by Midas with 2-1/2" alumaweld pipe will give you as good performance + they can bend it wherever you want (out of the way of the rocks too!). Why spend $1k or higher on exhaust. I'd rather spend $300 on exhaust, skip the cold air intake (with the goopy oil-filled, clog-your MAP sensor K&N filter), get nicer tires, a nice brush guard, and merge BEHIND that porsche on the freeway instead of racing to get in front of them.

Too many damn wannabes on this damn forum. Makes me want to go back to NAXJA. Of course, that's the holiday beer talking, but whatever...

Has anyone tried the Magnaflow exhaust system, part number 16630? or heard of anyone that has?

H3Eric 01-05-2006 12:54 PM

Maybe it is just me but I didn't like the soundclip of the Magnaflow exhaust on their website.

I just had the Magnaflow system installed on Tuesday. The shop said it was a piece of cake to install and the fit and finish is great. I wasn't sure about it just based on the sound clips on the Magnaflow website but now that it's on I like it so far. It sounds much better than it did stock. They also installed an AirRaid intake and between the two there is a little more low end power.

I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them tomorrow night. I can take some video with sound but don't have anywhere to host it.

H3Eric 01-06-2006 02:51 AM

We recommend at least a high flow filter like a drop in K&N to help more air into the intake. The theory is more air out more air in. If you want Zoomers give me a call... Ron 949-916-3240
