Is your grill and gas door line-x'd? I want to do that to my grill and mirrors. Has anyone reading this Line-x'd there stuff is it expensive or can I buy the can stuff and spray it?

Don't Line-X your skid plate. It will come off on the first rock you hit.
I don't think you can do the mirror caps because the coating is so thick. You may not be able to get them back on. ![]() |

The black chrome will scratch off and you'll see the aluminum under it. If I was blackening mine, I'd clean it real well, prime it and rattle can it. This way you won't cry the first time you crack it and you can always touch it up when you get home. If you aren't planning on going offroad, do what you want because it won't matter. |

i rattle canned my skid plate with the duplicolor truck bed coating. it will give it the appearance of line x but a lot cheaper. and as KenP said it will scratch the first rock you hit. only 6.00 a can at pepboys.
