CNN reported the next week that shoplifting in California was down something like 48% during the day of the protest. Can't find the link, but it was a legitimate news report...

I think at least 70% of the people living in south FL are either New Yorkers or Cubans so you could be onto something :D

Yeah I remember seeing that. Also stated something about illegals to emergency room loads where off by 70+%
