I hadn't scrolled down completely yet and at first glance, thought you were going airborne in that one

I like your rig, just need to un-bling the mirror caps to go with the rest of the theme.

Hey, Alan. Small world. Lou Sobh is where I bought my current truck.

NSANE 02-25-2006 01:51 PM

Did you deal with Bill Scurry? He is the boss man for Hummers up there and a great guy. He is one of the few who actually knows evertything about what he sells, and wheels on a regular basis.

Very small world!

I did and powder coated the wheels. Here is a more recent pic...

Sure did. Tall fellow.

I've purchased from 3 dealers in Atlanta -- Marietta, Union City, and Lou Sobh. I think I liked Sobh the best. I was also impressed with the service manager. Although I've never gone back for service, he seemed to know his stuff as well. Service up here where I live sucks.

When I looked, I went to all three and Marietta didnt even know that the adventure pkg had air susp. ( I dont even think he knew it was offered). He just kept telling me about all the chrome and wheel pkgs they offered. I just left.

I feel fortunate that I have good service and sales people within 10 miles of my place after hearing horror stories on this forum!

They usually give me an H3 to go up to mall of GA or Bass pro while I'm in for oil changes and service. They hook it up!

mstams 02-26-2006 01:13 AM

I bought from Marietta back in '03. I think they knew more then but ran those guys off for some reason. I haven't been back since.

The dealer up here is really a Cadillac shop, so they don't know much more than how to change the oil. Anything more than that and you might as well try to do it yourself. I guess that's why I keep trading every time the oil needs to be changed...

Andy H1 02-28-2006 01:12 AM

Speaking of Atlanta dealerships, Lou Sobh is definately the best if anybody around here is looking to buy. Phil in the service center is the greatest too.
I purchased my H1 about 2 years ago this April from there and it was one great experience. Wasn't Bill Scurry with Hummer of union city?

Steer clear of Carl Black in Roswell whatever you do, those guys are worse than Marietta Hummer!

BTW, great color! Much better than the "color-void" black and the "I can't make up my mind so give me silver" pewter.

Give me some credit Ken, Look at the rear in second pic its flexed out pretty good and in the other one, its hard to see but the rear is flexed out also.

sKauGhTiEe 03-01-2006 02:49 AM

I didn't know that Hummer and Flex could be in the same paragraph together.. my bad

Alan06SUT 03-01-2006 03:52 AM

OK, AS MUCH FLEXING AS A STOCK HUMMER H2 CAN DO.

Really cool pics. My favorite is the front tire in the air. Totally awesome!!!

Thanks for posting them.

Looking forward to getting more pics in tellico.....counting the days!

For some reason, it seems like I've seen your truck at REI off I-85 before. Maybe not, but it looks like the one I saw.

Lou Sobh Hummer is probably the best of the Metro Atlanta dealerships. However, Union City Hummer isn't all that bad, either.

Yep, thats me! Small world. I live near there in brookhaven and often stop by REI.

I've only seen one other sand sut w/ body colored grille around here, and it doesent have a brush guard or black PC wheels.
