I don't think you will need to do any drilling. But you will need all the bolts, spacers, and hardware that originally came with the internal carrier.

All of the holes on the inside of the truck where the brackets used to mount are still there, no drilling needed. As far as the new rear marker lights in the rear black bumper cover. You can still keep them, but if you are going to do a swap with another truck for all of the parts you won't keep them, the wiring for the rear lic. plate light for ones with a rear tire carrier includes the wiring and connector for those rear lights also.
To sum it up, if you buy a inside bracket, spacers and bolts, and put the tire inside, you can just take off the rear carrier and keep your lights. If you do a swap with a truck that does not have the rear tire carrier, bye bye to the new lights. |
