I am having the tire store order both sizes for me to look at, and mount 1 of each to check the fit. I'm putting them on Helo Guns that are 17x9. I think that will be an awesome setup. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Great looking tire. How do they line up price wise with the Toyo M/T. I remember you liked the Toyo M/T's so what led you to these instead?

Come on, Boss, you're slipping up! Where's the "They would have looked better wrapped on 20s!" comment?

Pete, you certianly have a point but i cant knock em once theyve already bought them--i can just direct them to the path of righteousness before they make bad decisions

The Cooper Tires look great, however, are they available without the white lettering on the inside of the tire? Also, has anyone used these tires off-road?

Jimstepside 01-29-2006 01:45 PM

I got a price from the tire store of 250.00 for the 35x12.50x17, and 253.00 for the 37's. I'll probably go with the 37's. According to Cooper's web site, the 35's come in white letters, the 37's are black.

Anyone have balancing issues with the Coopers? I have a steering wheel vibration at 45 to 60 mph. I took it back once and they were not able to fix the issue. I go back tomorrow and if that fails, I will be referred to a Les Schwab Tire Center that has a "Road Force" allignment machine.

I hope it can be fixed. I just pray it's not the wheels I just got. They are MC2's that were designed for the H2 but I got them off Ebay so who knows!

Has anyone else experienced a vibration in their steering wheel but only at certain speeds? Is it usually a tire balance issue?

working Hummer 01-30-2006 09:43 PM

I've got these tires on mc2's too, I have the 35's and mine were ballanced on the inside of rim and thats it and crusing at 85 no vibrations. The tire store told me if I did have a vibration they could spray some powder crap in the tire and should work.????

kacyk 01-30-2006 09:53 PM

I had them balance the tires on a Ground Force machine and no issues!

Any chance you could take that picture of a side view? My wheels should be in tommorrow, and I'm still undecided about the size of the tires.

Sorry about the delay but the rain and darkness continues here in Seattle. I found this on the net though. what wheels did you get?

Thanks for picture. I wanted to see a side view of your truck with them mounted to see the clearance of the wheel wells. The tire store that I am using ordered me a 37 x 12.50 x17 for me to look at. It looks huge sitting along side of the truck. Its kinda hard to tell what it will look like on the truck, so he is going to order 35's and 37's and mount one of each for me to see. I see that you have 18" wheels, so that added one inch to the profile. The wheels are Helo Guns in 17 x 9...

kacyk 01-31-2006 09:20 PM

37's with Helo guns will look awesome. The 37's will fill out the wheel well nicely! Personally I think my gap is too much with the 35's. I should have gone with the 37's. I contemplated this for many days and I regret not doing it.

Jimstepside 01-31-2006 09:24 PM

I'm 99% sure I'm going with the 37's. I don't want the regrets with the 35's too. I also just posted a reply to your black wheel post in General Discussion.

Just fpr comparison, here are pics of our past H3 with 35's then 33's. The difference is material.

And now with 33's

KenP 02-01-2006 05:33 AM

The 35's look great, but I bet they rub when gettin' nasty.

Great look Kacyk. When it stops raining, could you post a pic from the front? I want to see how wide those tires are. It does stop raining up there doesn't it?

I don't know about the Tri-Cities but it's been pouring non-stop in Seattle. There are flood areas all over the place. I took the wife's H2 to work yesterday and had some fun storming through what seemed like small lakes!

Also, Doc, I decided to keep the ski racks. We took the kids skiing last weekend for the first time and they loved it. We had about 2 feet of snow at our cabin and we just missed the avalanche on our way back through Steven's Pass.

dochummer 02-02-2006 02:19 AM

No prob. It rained last night for a couple of hours. Today was sunny and breezy....that's about it. Not much rain.
