You mean "great lack of color choice".

mstams 05-21-2005 10:23 AM

Thanks to Dan for hooking me up with the contact info on the bra. It's a Colgan full hood bra and ran about $120 shipped. Here's the post where Dan told me about it...

I have a question:

Are you able to machine wash the bra? Can you put it on a delicate cycle and hang to dry (like traditional ones ). I think Dan had mentioned it before but I am hesitant. Can anyone help? I believe it is the same kind.

Fubar 05-21-2005 11:47 AM

mstams,
thanks for the link and info

You should be able to machine wash in cold/delicate and a small amount of detergent. After hang dry, mabye use some Armour All or vynil conditioner.

I found out with buffing with a buffer it take' a very light hand.

h2co-pilot 05-21-2005 02:14 PM

Thanks Dennis, I appreciate it. I will try it this afternoon.

Be sure and post the results. I have one that needs serious cleaning and have been hesitant to put it through the wash.

Thanx!

They're meant to be used for harsh enviroments. Water and mild detergent should not affect it. I use to have a Pontiac Fiero GT(15 years ago ) with a bra. I put it in the washing machine all the time. With Armour All or Vynil conditioner, it always looked new.

P.S. Use AllTemperCheer.

Buckeye Hummer 05-21-2005 04:49 PM

Dennis,

My sister had the exact same car. Those Fieros were way ahead of there time, pretty cool mid engine car actually. Hers got stolen and ended up at the impound lot.

mstams 05-21-2005 07:14 PM

I had an '86 Fiero SE 2M6 -- same engine as the GT but a little more chopped in the rear. That was a fun car in its day. It was faster than my mother's '84 Trans Am. Don't laugh, they were both fire engine red...

Yes, ahead of it's time for sure. I've always promised myself when I have time, I'm going restore one again.

KenP 05-21-2005 07:37 PM

Damn if I didn't have an '86 too! White. They sure were easy to slide around. You should have seen the looks I got when I climbed my ass out of that little thing.

I used to have fun sticking my head out the sunroof and driving at night. It was really cool -- especially with the lights off. That center console was so wide and positioned just right to sit on while driving. Try doing that in the H2...

DennisAJC 05-21-2005 10:28 PM

Ken,

let's start a Fiero thread!

My girlfriend at the time loved the removable sunroof. She could stick her head out.

And in, and out, and in, and out........

h2c-p, didn't your mom ever tell you how to wash a bra?

Hand wash in woolite and air dry, like all your delicates!

It went fine, it is hanging to dry on the deck railing. I used Tide with a touch of April Fresh Downy. I will let you know the final results tomorrow.
