Phil,

Those are great pics. It's like a dustbowl when we go here in socal, however, I anxiously await winter, which is just around the corner and will hopefully bring us rain, mud and a little green. Currently when I turn on my air it blows dust into the cabin. My filter behind the dash is full so I need to clean that out, so was my alternator but that has since been cleaned out and I think it could have been the culprit behind two leaky batteries in one week

The pic with the pewter H2 on the incline where it appears the rear tire carrier is about to hit: Did you pull through that or back out of it? Curious.

Can't the H2 A/C be run in the re-circulate mode? That's what I do when I run the A/C in my 85 Toy to avoid sucking lungfulls of dust.

I always do the recirculate mode cranky but as soon as you change it off of that setting and you're back on the road it looks like a Saturday Night Live skit with a big poof of dust coming in your face. I'm exagerating, but it still comes in a little with recirculate while on the trail and blows itself out after I change the setting. It's quite comical actually although my daughter didn't appreciate it blowing on her while on the way to school.

Ya, know what ya mean, I don't know why the newer stuff did away with the lever like my old truck has, where the driver could select inside or outside exclusivly.

I had dog food shot out at me one time in an old honda switching from Recirc to fresh. A mouse had decided a good place to hoard some food was in the cowl of the Honda right on top of the door for the vent ..... i did not dig it but the dog was cool with it ...

HAHAHA!!! Don't feel bad, Cranky, I had a little mouse decide that my Acura Integra(long time gone byebye) would be a great place to live. So the little **** not only moves half of the twigs & grass within 10 yards that looked good into my car, but then proceeded to chew up and then spit out two full size packs of Extra gum.
I did get satisfaction out of the whole thing. I put down that really sticky mouse trap paper and caught the fuzzy little bugger alive. I seem to remember something about a microwave, but it was so long ago that I'm not sure anymore.

Microwaves are fun but even more fun is catching rats and placing them in a cage with a Python. The python won't eat them because they are finicky and I think they only eat a particular rodent (it was my roommates so it escapes my mind)anyway it was fun to watch this rat shiver it's ass off while the python occassionaly snapped at it. We also would pin rats with our lacrosse sticks, stun them a little, and then have add a new twist to the game in the hallway. God I miss this stuff.
