A question, that looks to be a 3-sided box - are there heat issues?
Seems like wenches build up a lot of heat when you are running them hard, so you want to have an wide open box design to facilitate better wenching without heat buildup. Also, I remember over on the NAXJA forums that using a synthetic line on a winch designed for cable could cause heat dissipation issues. I don't know if that's true, but I'd love to hear what the temps are like with a synthetic line, installed in the bumper, pulling an H3 out of the mud. |
