Re: Transmission fluid?
Should at least run cooler, but I would like to see it for myself (as I have done on the syn motor oil).

Re: Transmission fluid?
Hey guys, my '06 says to use the new D-IV on the dipstick & in the manual. If their flush system is hooked up to a bulk container of D-III, I am wondering how this is going to work out. Input appreciated...

I will guess, that most GOOD dealers will use only DVI in the future. DIII will eventually runout via GM service parts, if not already gone. DVI can be used on all older GM vehicles, except for Saturn S-Series, VUE V6, CVT transaxles, and not sure about SAAB. |
Re: Transmission fluid?
I would suggest a complete flush if the oil is burnt. I suspect your tranny may be running on the high side at some periods.
If you can spare the coin, try the PML tranny pan for added cooling due to it being aluminum and holding more fluid. www.trailduty.com has them in stock. Since your '03 requires DIII ATF you could also try Syn ATF, or just upgrade to the new GM D6 (Dexron VI) ATF. Quote:
