I hear ya! :D I also want backup cam, DVD in (with audio), etc. I want to get the GM Pac adapter and see how well that works (VCI-GM2/AV). When I get some cash and some time, I'm gonna give it a go. Still looking for a backup cam I like though. |

Link Pretty cool....it's like $350 - $400. Let you have backup cam, and then 2 audio/video in. Comes with a little remote. Nice. Only thing is, you have to open radio  to install. Check link, has installation instructions that also have a pretty good schematic on second page of how it works and what connects to it. I might have to justify the costr sooner then later. Just can't find a cam I like. |
Re: "TQ" WTF Is The "XM info" Button..??

Very cool..Spent some time on the PAC Web page reading the instructions. Not to bad of an install. The hardest part is figuring out how to pop the dash apart. There was a link to a site that I think shows how to open up the front of the dash and or A Pillers and such. I'll have to get my ducks in a row and get the game plan down after I get the XM Whine and roof marker lamp thing out of the way. Thanks TW...:beerchug: |

Re: "TQ" WTF Is The "XM info" Button..??
If it makes you feel any better, my XM Info button doesn't do **** either. And I can turn the timeout feature on and off jillions of times and it doesn't change a thing. I keep pressing the buttons though. You know, if there's a button to push, even if it's a virtual button on a screen, you just HAVE to push it every so often.

Re: "TQ" WTF Is The "XM info" Button..??
Doesn't appear to be only our trucks. Read same problem in an Avalanche forum, a GM Truck forum, a Cadillac forum, and an XM411 thread about a Tahoe. LOL! According to a THIS on XM's site, it should show "further info"...notice how it's greyed out though for them too! Says same in Nav Supplement manual that came with my truck: "When XM? is active, the channel name and number, song title and artist will display on the screen.
Touch the XM Info screen button to display additional XM station information." Ok...so I went through like all 200 channels...slowly!...never lit once. Maybe I'll email Delphi and see what the extra info would be, and then contact XM and see what's up. |
