Re: Loving the SNOW!
We've been getting lots of snow here in my neck of the woods in the past few weeks. My driveway has piles of snow much larger than my H3. But I wouldn't even plow at all if it weren't for the fact that I need to plow the neighbors drive too! I've even gotten the chance to pull a couple trucks out with the Hummer. After, I showed them how it's done and went through right where they got stuck!
I have also played in 2 feet of snow with the stock 265s. It wasn't a piece of cake, but it did it just fine. You really don't need a locker in snow, the limited slip will work almost exactly the same, I've seen it in action with my own eyes. I've got 33" BFG ATs on now, but don't notice any difference at all in the deep snow. The traction control system works very well in snow, and on ice, if you're nice to the throttle and let it do the work for you. |
Re: Loving the SNOW!
I too loved the snow in my H3 and had the same blade problems everyone else has. I tried O'Riley's all weather split blad and it wasn't much better than stock. The final solution is Blizzard Blade in WI. A heated wiper that fits on stock arms with little drilling and modification.
There are some old posts with them on my H3 - they're a pain to wire, but once you have them you're spoiled! I discovered these while I was in the Yukon Territory. Lots of people use heated wipers up there and there are several brands. |
