Where in HI are you, I used to work for T&C Surf.

You still located in oahu? Born in Kaimuki, raised in Pearl City, and now living in Ewa Beach. I knew a few people who worked at T&C Surf - Stacey display designer and Marcey graphic designer - not sure where they are now.

That would look cool leaving one side dirty but I think the Hawaii Convention would have a cow if I tracked any dirt on their floors - LOL

Make sure they didn;t crank the T bars all the way up with the lift. I had the same rims you have but in all black and had issue with hitting the steering knuckle when aired down at the wrong angle. (17") It seems the ones I have seen with the 18" setup have been fine. I know that with the proper offest wheel and tire setup that H3 has great AP and DP angles. Also check out how far your bumpstops are form touching in the front. That's how I found out the Tbars were cranked all the way. There's nithing wuite like hitting the brakes hard on the highway and the front dips down a foot.

Good luck with it! It looks great BTW!

How does it ride for you at highway speeds?

The T bars are perfect, before the lift I had it jacked up like mad but with the lift it's fine. As for the steering knuckle and bump stops it seems to be fine as well.

My H3 is a daily driver and brought it on the freeway and got it up to 75 and to me it rides better than stock! It hugs the road better, maybe because the wider wheel base because of the wider rims and backspacing - not sure what it is but it does feel good on the freeway.

No, I live in FL. I dealt wiht Graig and his wife and I mostly talked with Stacey and a few others when they would come to the main land for trade shows. They have a factory here in FL, I worked from there, as the Team Mgr for the East coast. I think that was the best job a person could have. Travel, surf, chill etc.. all paid by T&C.

Re: MY LIFTED H3!!!

I had to get spacers because the control arm was so close to my wheel you couldn't even fit your pinky finger between the wheel and the control arm!! It was about 1/16 away from the wheel. This is due to the backspacing of my wheels - should've got less backspacing...

Not only did the wheel spacer help distance the tire from the control arm but it gave my H3 a wider beefier look. Here's the before and after pics:

Before - no lift, 16 x 8 with 35's, tbars cranked like crazy!

After - lift, 17 x 10 with 35's, 1 1/4 spacer:

Had my friend over at Goodyear install my spacers and torque it for me. No more worrying about the COG (Center of Gravity) due to the lift, the wider wheel base hugs the roads now ;)

That was one of the knocks on this lift from early on. So I'll ask again. What is the backspacing on your wheels?

I did find it strange that Rancho recommends 4.5" BS on 16", 17", 18" wheels. 5" BS on 20" & larger wheels. I have 17 x 10 and the 4.5 BS came too close that's why I added the spacers.

Thanks. That's what I figured.

What is your new ground clearance with the lift? The before and after pics don't really show the difference. How did you like your MT/R's while you had them? They sure looked great!

I still have them and are selling them for $850 rims and all!!

As for ground clearance it didn't change, but once I add 37's it should clear about 2 more inches...but still thinking about it. ;)
