Nice install! Do you have any reception problems with the xm antenna mounted on the dash like that?

That looks perfect! Very subtle and classy. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Thanks Lucky1, I just wanted it to look clean and sound clean. I was thinking that the stock bose system was okay until I heard the system that I have now...what a major difference.

I really like that. Do you worry about hitting one of the buttons with your knee?

Damn, I thought we got rid of you!

H2_SUT_SC 10-21-2005 02:17 PM

CBR that looks sweet. What cutting tool did you use to cut the holes so perfect?

Here's a pic of where mine are. I like yours, they're easier to get to if you ever need to use it. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Humm This, I like your dash trim panels. I might have mine painted also. I was thinking of going with a 2tone paint job on the outside (dark blue on the bottom half) and painting the dash to match.

The grills for the door speakers were kinda tricky but it came out nice. The amp rack and sub box was built by Gary at Paradyme car audio. I still have to finish the dynamat in the rear cargo area. I did the dynamat in the doors and it made a huge difference...killed a lot of road noise but that 10" subwoofer hits real hard and clean but it rattles the rear cargo area a bit. I plan on finishing the dynamat this week sometime.

Thanks, if you paint the dash, paint it all. Most I see only do the center and then the outside 2 AC vents. It just doesn't have the same effect.

I was gonna tell you to paint them, but when I saw you had a pewter one I decided not to cause the stock color of those look pretty close to the pewter color.

I like your idea though, the blue.

Also, they have steering wheel caps so your wheel will look like mine but be painted your color. Should get that too. I don't remember if mine is custom or just uses one of those replacement caps. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Yeah, I also thought about the full wood dash trim panels and steering wheel...not that stick on crap.

Field Rat 10-22-2005 12:22 AM

Why were the speaker grills tricky? Also, What speakers did you use in the very back two speakers?
