And is this the same Orange as the "Drug Dealer" package? What is with all these glitter paints? I would love a straight Cal Trans orange H3. How cool would that look?

Thy will still bitch about because it's a Hummer it has to be destroying the planet and the driver must be an environment hating *******, trust me they will blame something on Hummers and their owners. |
Re: Alpha information
Don't you emit less emissions if you go faster?:beerchug: I mean you arrive at your destination sooner.:jump:
On a serious note; I like the desert orange, but there may be some interesting colors coming out. |
Re: Alpha information
From the www.rockcrawler.com site:
"Wheels/Tires Wheel size & type: 16-inch x 7.5-inch aluminum Tires: std: P265/75R16 all terrain steel-belted Goodyear radials opt: LT285/75R16 on-/off-road Bridgestone radials (with ZM6 Off-Road Adventure package)" Suggests to me that Adventure package will be available on the Alpha... :) One other point, 5.3 V8 with 295 ponies - suggests there is a lot of power hiding in there waiting to be released :p - Range Rover HSE (not sport) has a "smaller" 4.4 V8 and produces 302 said ponies! Cheers JFF :beerchug: |

Re: Alpha information
1) Mucho Thanks F5!
2) NO CHROME!! Make it an option. 3) Lux pkg should include heated mirrors. (We're getting snow here today thru the weekend). That is all :) |
Re: Alpha information
GM should make a "NO CHROME" model... with BLACK WHEELS
Black on Black or Black on Gray/Silver or Black on Yellow (HOT) like a bumble bee or yellow jacket |

F5, Thank You for that. Note to Mr Walsh... if details matter and his engineering boys are paying attention. If they want some of the Canadian market they better kick in a overdrive...The new $3k surcharge will eliminate this contender:grouphug: |
Re: Alpha information
great job, f5!!:D
i can only hope that chrome is optional :) and that there is a fantastic off-road pkg that can make sure that every heep and land rover and others are totally :OWNED: |

Re: Alpha information
ohh for the love of gawd pls dont make the chome package required on the Alpha!!
|
Re: Alpha information
I for one love the chrome package. :p
You guys, believe it or not, HUMMER/GM does know the demographic that it sells the majority of H3's to. Those of us who wheel this machine are completely in the minority. But they try to please us anyway. Thanks HUMMER :excited: |

So true. Good to know that Hummer sticks to it's strict offroad criteria for all the rigs they make, regardless of how the average owner actually uses it. |

Good points....But I still think they should let you build it how you want like they used to in the 70's. I know its a pain in the ass as I am a homebuilder and custom costs money, time, etc. I would pay a slight premium if I could order the exact vehicle I wanted by choosing parts of each "package". |

Re: Alpha information
Why is the V-8 going to be available in the Alpha ONLY? Couldn't they offer the Alpha with all the chrome crap, insignia's and V-8 and still have just the V-8 as an option for non-Alpha models?
|
Re: Alpha information
I am planning on upgrading at some point...that is why we leased the first one....expected a V8 would come out B4 the end of the lease...;).
I still want what I want though. V8 5 Speed Manual and I want in YELLOW along with the Off Road as an option on the LUX...also make chome/black available by choice. I may wait for the 09 but I am very tempted to go with it this fall. October will be end of the 2nd year of a 3 yr lease. I have already blown way over the allowed miles per year. |
Re: Alpha information
It'd be a hell of a lot cheaper to line-x or body color paint your mirrors and grill than to mod a I-5 to an Alpha.
What's all this archaic stick krap. Even ol' Russell went automatic because they work better on the trail. Next thing you'll want back is floor and wing window vents!:giggling: |
