Believe me, I by no means at all have a 15 year old 'lets pick on this guy' mentality. That could be because I'm not 15, nor do I have acne, nor am I sitting in the library of my school evading the librarian. I am typing this from the comfort of my own study at home, as school has been out for well over an hour now, in an attempt to take part in a forum that I enjoy participating in. If you didn't like what I said (for whatever reason), ignore it. I obviously fail to see what was rude about my last comment. Wow. |

But am I new to hummers hell no! My father has owned hummers since the first year of the H2, and you know what Humdingah When I was in high school, I wasnt chillin in the library looking at acne creams, I was rolling around in a 2003 h1 firehouse red wagon. ;)

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
Unfortunately not. While it is my favorite vehicle, I haven't the means, being a student and all... I plan on getting one as soon as I have an income and am out of college!:excited:
Until then, I can only participate here and hope a senior member grows weary of their old H2 and gives it to me when they upgrade to a newer one...:shhh: |

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
Well since you've apparently managed to sneak out of high school, with excellent marks in English I'm sure based upon your "neither...or" usage, then you should be versed enough to search a few web sites that I'm quite sure may have tested 0-60 times for vehicles (things like Road & Track, Motor Trend, Autoweek, Truck Trend, etc. immediately come to mind).
And, judging by your screen name Russell, you're quite possibly referring to an H3 Alpha, which isn't even available yet. That would again only serve to reinforce my hinting that this may, in fact, be a wasted post. But enjoy newb... |

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
Yea I managed to sneak right through college too. No one told me this was an english essay. And yes my name is talking about the H3 Alpha? How did you guess man? The first H3 Alpha coming into Dew Hummer is reserved as mine. So no its not avaliable yet, but I have the first one set aside from Dew Hummer. Ive read up quiet a bit on the H3 and looked directly and made comparisons to the H2. I may just get a regular H3 though, I was just wanting to see what owners had to say. Im here to find out things just like everyone else. Thats what a forum is for right sharing information? I just straight dont like your type. pick on me cause im a "newb".... ok? I perviously mentioned that I have been around hummers for years, hell ive been deep sea fishing on Jim Armours boat. So go take a long walk off a short pier buddy. ;)

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
Err... is the long walk relative to the short pier? As in, walk a distance of 49.5 feet on that 50 foot pier? Rather than a short walk of say 10 feet on a 50 foot pier?

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
Is it meant to be an exhaustive exercise? Please respond quickly.

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
hey man you like Dew thats were we get all ours hummers from. Its tight but I miss phil he was the man. Weve been going there before it even moved from its old location. and yea I know the 60 times and 1/4 mile times are hard to judge but, hence why I asked if anyones raced between the two. Anyways say its a 50 foot pier as long as its anything greater than that im cool, hopefully there is a large drop too.

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
i would have to ay the H3 alpha is goin to be the quickest/fsatest stock hummer made.
|
Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
you think it will be quicker than the new h2? I mean like I said i dont need a fast hummer, I just need one that doesnt feel under powered.
|
Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
I have never felt the H3 was underpowered. And I drove mine like a race car (well hard enough to average 8mpg after awhile :giggling:), for some reason you powder coat your rims and all the little Mercedes want a race.
I was comfortable cruising at 90-94mph in my H3 on the interstate, I tend to keep my H2 at around 80mph, but it can easily get up to ~95 if you want to pass. Never had a problem getting up to speed in either, it's definitely not like some of the H1s. It's just... normal. I still think the differences in speed between the two don't matter in the least. If you need something bigger, more room, etc.. go H2, if you want something smaller but still cool... go H3. |
Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
tight man thanks for an honest opinion. See Ive got backround in the h1 and h2, just new to the h3. I think it looks like a little bastard! I love the thing and also its more practical for what I need. lol 8mpg though jesus man your an animal! Im just thinking the h3 alpha for me might be a bit over kill, I might do like the 300 dollar lease on the H3 its a damn good deal.
