Re: How to take off the side steps
The drivers side is more difficult, more lines and cables. Be careful not to bend or break them.
I used a milk crate to hold up the end I was not working on. I took me about 15 minutes per side doing it myself. |

lol. HOLY CRAP!. Do you seriously want someone to tell you the exact size instead of just trying a few. Hmmm, is it metric!?...Screw it. GOOD LUCK!!!!:twak: |

actually ya i do. i dont have just tools laying around my housel. to be exact ive only got a flat head screwdriver, and a phillips head screwdriver. i want to go and buy the socket wrenches for it, but i dont wnat to spend like 100 bucks on a whole set and im only gonna use one of them. so id rather just go and buy the exact one i need. |
Re: How to take off the side steps
If you get off your a$$ and look, :twak: you wil find socket sets much cheaper than that. Sears is a good place to start for value and quality. You can get a small set for under $20. No one sane buys a single socket.:lame: You will be amazed at how frequently you use them once you own them and know how to use them. Also, consider buying a caliper. It's good for measuring your nuts! :dancingbanana:

Re: How to take off the side steps
:iagree: Buy a set from sears ,replacement for life no matter what happened to it..
Also get a tool box,it fills up quickly and you will have them for life. |
Re: How to take off the side steps
1 socket $1
1 Socket Driver $3.99 The full set $14.99 But getting off your @$$ and Driving to walmart... Priceless Theres somethings money can buy, But if you dont buy it... dont complain to the forum:rant: |
Re: How to take off the side steps
I say blow torch the bolts and knock the heads off with hammer and chisel
|
Re: How to take off the side steps
alright A i wasnt complaining someone told me to go out and buy a set, i asked simply what size is it so i can get that size for it, anywho i figured it out on my own and it was on sale so i bought a Husky set for 15 bucks. stupid bot is too tight! ill have to use like a hammer to help knock it a bit loose

Re: How to take off the side steps
Tower, your way late, if you looked around the forum youd see the offroad pic thread of it with no steps, and i siimply asked aboutt the size so i didnth ave to buy a whole set, but i did anyway cuase it was on sale. And any hole in the wall would just use a hammer that fits in your space, its not like it has to fit over something. Are there anymore obvious questions you would like to ask?
