Oh, is Bahrain anywhere near Dubai? I saw a "60 minutes" on Dubai, and that place looks like a nice vacation spot.

Yep - about a 55min plane ride away.... MASSIVE construction going on down there - one report suggested around 50% of all of the worlds cranes are in Dubai... and it's a busy place!... I prefer Bahrain - smaller, but quieter in comparison.

Gutted.... just got round to putting this on here... upshot is that the trip (for me and 5 others) was cancelled 8hrs before the flight out of here - 3 did go (they reckon the H3 Alpha is awesome - apparently).... reason was some kind of disagreement between here and GM Middle East - dunno the details and not too interested either, but gutted nonetheless.

Penned in for the next trip, so we'll see what happens... spent the week I SHOULD have been in Indiana doing stuff for the Academy here - not the same mind you - even took unpaid leave from my "proper job" for this trip :rant:

Ah well... next time I'll post about it when I'm in South Bend "just in case"!!!!
