But to address the spare tire question.... a small difference in diameter would obviously mean rotation at a different speed for that axle... wouldn't that be just the same if you happen to be driving on snow or ice or a very winding road? I have no doubt that any vehicle could handle that without regard to miles driven at normal operating speeds.
