Re: Jersey's H3 and the Tale of 25MPG

Hey H,
Thanks for researching in greater detail. I'm happy to report that for the year and months that I've been using the product in my 2 vehicles, I've never experienced a CAT fire, nor an increase in heat. I work for a city fire department and I'm also happy to report that none of the 1,733 car fires I've researched on my CAD show the origin/source in the last 5 years were CAT related. In fact most car fires we experienced were sourced by engine compartment fires involving fuel leaks and by electrical fires in the dashboard, followed by arson related car fires. My understanding of this product in particular is that it bonds to the gas on a molecular level causing it to burn in its entirety reducing the amoout of unburnt fuel going to the CAT. Less combustible material reaching the CAT indicates to me that the CAT would not be as hot as normal because there is less fuel for it burn. In the fire industry we call that a good thing. :jump: Quote:
The rest of the interview can be found @ http://www.beyondfossilfuel.com/reso...interview.html As for running hotter: Here's a pic I took the other day going 65 mph and 20 miles into my ride the temp is below the mid-line. So no increase showing up there: |
Re: Jersey's H3 and the Tale of 25MPG
I do 1 ounce per 15 gallons. Any more gas and I'd add a pinch more. I bought the syringe they offer for 5 bucks. For my first full tank of gas I added 35ml. I rarely let it go lower than 3/4 full, so I just add a pinch when I need to.

Re: Jersey's H3 and the Tale of 25MPG
Jersey you have inspired me. I got a bottle on ebay for $21 total and will post a report in a few weeks.
I have been hypermiling in LA traffic and have achieved +2mpg with driving style and +1mpg running the tires@50psi. :iagree: |

Re: Jersey's H3 and the Tale of 25MPG
Its been a crazy week. I have no numbers to offer. My wife and I swithced vehicles, I needed the van to help out a friend. So she has been driving the H3 and unfornately she filled it without adding the ca40g and she didnt keep the receipt either. My son says she actually filled it twice. At any rate, its back in my hands and I have receipt/picture, but forgot to pack my USB cable to transfer the file. I'm going to run the vehicle to as close to empty as possible to get a varied driving(city/highway mix) mpg count based on a full tank w/35ml of additive. I'm nearly a quarter of a tank down so far since filling up. I'll keep tabs on it and report at the end.
At this rate though I may not need gas til next week. Anyone looking for lowest price gas in NJ; I found it, its in North Bergen where Routes 1&9 meet 51st Street $3.59 a gallon Delta Gas Station. My luck I'll be far from here when I hit empty. Kaiser good luck with your bottle. Ebay you say? Beware its legitimacy, hate to think some clown out there is buying and filling empty bottles with corn oil and castor oil and selling it as ca40. Someone asked if there was a money back guarantee. I went to the CA40 website and couldnt find one so I asked a question in the 'ask questions' section and the email reply I got read: "While there is no 'official' money back guarantee for CA-40, we do stand behind the product and will give you a full refund if you're not satisfied." Speaks volumes in my opinion. |
Re: Jersey's H3 and the Tale of 25MPG
I've run two tanks of the CA40 through at this point. The first one I had no increase in MPG but did drive many more city miles than my average amount on that tank. The second had still some more city miles but I noticed about a 5-10% increase in MPG. I'll keep posting...

Re: Jersey's H3 and the Tale of 25MPG
Third tank, average type driving for me, no difference in mpg.

Re: Jersey's H3 and the Tale of 25MPG
By not trying on mileage here were my latest results..
Not surprising 16.5-17 mpg 75-85 mph with ac on and roof rack on I-10 Tires at 35 psi outside temp 100+ PS to LA trip 125 miles |
Re: Jersey's H3 and the Tale of 25MPG
Fourth tank, average driving again and no MPG difference.
I'm almost through the fifth tank and it is the same as the others. I'm also noticing a bit of a rough idle. I think this tank might end my experiment. Sorry, but I've seen no improvement. |
