Those really look great! One of the best appearance items I've seen for the H3. Gotta get a set.

woyster_h3 07-27-2005 10:03 AM

Yeah, I e-mailed him about them yesterday when the original auction ended. He e-mailed back and referred me to the original auction saying he had added more. It still showed 0 available so I went to look at his other items and found he had listed some more at almost double the price. No thank you.

richk 07-27-2005 01:47 PM

Bummer, I guess he noticed the increased interest in the product. Still seems like a reasonable price.

My next addition is mud flaps for front and rear.

KenP 07-27-2005 01:55 PM

That's a great idea and it looks awesome! Nice color truck.

I tried to order a set but he doesn't ship to Canada...

usetosellhummer 07-27-2005 07:08 PM

unreal the factory doesn't do that. come on...

DeLeon 07-28-2005 12:37 AM

Hey guys.. the price is down to $9.95, if you're interested you should order now before the price goes up again, I've just ordered a couple of sets for myself...

Hey richk, how did you stick the letters up?

richk 07-28-2005 01:54 AM

I used a ruler and masking tape to make sure the letters where centered. Just measure down 3 inches and place a piece of masking tape and then use that to align the top of the letters.

I removed my GM stickers tonite. Looks much better. WD40 worked great to remove the leftover sticky glue. Looks much nicer now with only the H3 logo.

Webb70 07-28-2005 11:22 AM

He emailed me back saying he WILL ship to Canada, so mine are on the way.....

Hey Richk! I was actually wondering what you used to stick them, like super glue or something?

Thanks!

richk 07-29-2005 01:49 AM

The letters are self-stick. No glue necessary. Justy press them on.

jp's-h3 07-29-2005 02:59 AM

Awesome idea!
I clicked on other items for sale and found them.
so I also ordered a set. I'll probably have them before I take delivery of my H3 (august 22). JP'S-H3

skeeter 07-31-2005 01:29 AM

DeLeon, The guy on ebay is selling them with self stick tape on them for $14.00, and with out any thing for $9.00 He has two price pionts.

H3OH 07-31-2005 02:24 PM

skeeter,

Do you have the link for the one with the self stick tape? I looked at his other items and he just has the non-stick ones. After further inspection from the previous links, the letters look a bit different. Interesting.

I want them, but want the adhesive on the back.

woyster_h3 08-02-2005 02:53 PM

I wish I had realized the ones I ordered were the non self-stick ones.

So, any ideas on how to install them? Does 3M make a double stick tape that is strong enough to hold them on yet thin enough that the letters won't stick out too far? Any ideas on where to find it?

Thanks.

HummerNewbie 08-02-2005 03:00 PM

I have seen some double sided tape out there that is about as thin as scotch tape but very sticky. I would just watch out for them when washing it.

woyster_h3 08-02-2005 03:02 PM

I'll try to drop by the auto parts store and see what I can find.

Being that my H3 will never go to a carwash and will always be washed by hand I don't see a problem with double stick tape...but who knows.

Thanks.

I wonder if GM trademarked the shape of the Hummer letters; especially the "R." If they did, then they might have told the guy to stop selling. They did the same thing with the Corvette. They are known as Corvette letters with an actual Corvette font.
Just wondering; don't know for sure.

Funny you mention that f5fstop, because the GT Style website no longer has the Hummer logo on the spare tire cover. They took it off recently for some reason.
