Hi Diana. Welcome.
We have an 05 SUT and and H3 also. We love both trucks! My other half is 6'1" and has no issues with legroom in either vehicle. As for parking, your Tahoe isn't much smaller than the H2. It doesn't take long to get used to it. I came from a Tahoe before the HUMMERS. Power: There is a difference! The H3 power is OK, but after driving the H2 around, it's a dog! And speaking of dogs, we have two Labs that are around the 70lb range. They fit all the way in the back of the H3 no plobem. So for the Rot's you could put them back there and leave the back seats up in the locked position in the H3. The seat cushions you sit on slide forward to creat a flat spot for your pit. Problem solved for room. Honestly, I think you will be fine with an H3 for room. 25HP for next year? No big deal. A catback exhaust and air filter kit will take care of that now. Either truck will be GREAT! Good luck with your HUMMER hunting! Tim. |
I've owned several very fast cars ( Mercedes E55 AMG, Porsche 928, Lotus Esprit, several Corvettes, etc ) and I think the H3 acceleration is very good.
It's an SUV; not a sports car. |
Yes, it is an SUV, however, and SUV should have enough power to get out of it's way. I have a very fast sports car, and know the difference. I just want something that can hold it's own going through mountains and hills.

I just picked up my H3 last Thursday after ordering it. I have a big dog and she fits in the back area with the seat up just fine with another big dog. Getting her up to the back is another thing. That's a tall jump for a heavy dog.
As far as power, you'll have to drive it for yourself to see if its good. But I think it is especially torquey. You must test drive it as soon as possible. It is the bestest of driving vehicles. It feels like your 12 ft (3.96m) in the air even though it is only 6 ft. tall or so. The hood seems to be only a foot long. |
