As I understand it dennis, they were in the wrong, they headed up when they should have waited, tried to get out of the way, the front unloaded causing it to go over, and over, and over...

WOW 26 replies! Well to give you guys some more info, I had just started wheeling and about five minutes in I decided I wanted to see how my H2 articulated. I was on a road that had dirt banks on both sides so I decied to drive up the bank on a 45' angle I gave it some gas and bang the tie rod, brake line and cv blew. I got my H2 from southgate in edmonton and the broken parts have been sent there for the service department to decied if they will warrenty them or not. My truck is in great shape NO scratches and No signs of abuse.

Did you happen to take any pics? Would like to see where it happened, if possible, to try to piece together how it happened.

hmmm, I am having a hard time believing the CJ just went from a sudden thrust of the wheel when the tie rod went. I mean, that IFS isn't that strong, but should have taken that with no problems
Why did the brake line go?

It is very peculiar. After having just run most of the Rubicon I'm having a hard time visualizing how this could have happened so easily.

DennisAJC 10-24-2003 02:34 AM

In his recent posts, he was apperantly swithing to some bigger, more aggressive tires. Mabye...

I have 37" Super Swamper SSR's that measure 35" tall. This is the second tierod that has broken, the first one broke in a accident. The Parts manager thinks that the tierod must of hit a rock and when it broke the tire traveled past its limits causing the cv to break. I didn't even no the brake line was broken untill the parts manager told me.

A buddy of mine broke up his new Jeep Chreeoke several years ago. Now he is a lawyer. The dealership said the driveshaft and all the other stuff would not be covered under warranty. He said he was not doing anything he had not seen in a jeep TV ad. If you don't fix it I will sue for repairs and fraud. They fixed everything. They were really pi$$ he never bothered to hose the mud off. He just had it loaded on a flat bed and taken back to the dealer. Now I have noticed the H2 ads are pretty tame compaired to the old Jeep ads. Maybe the word got out?

Hey wait....doesn`t putting bigger tires affect the warranty? Or I may be wrong.

Same lawers that have caused the price of vehicles to go up.... SO, I wonder if they saw a jeep jumping off a bridge, if the lawer would do the same

Sometimes I wished most of them would. Most are just too smart to fall for that trick.
What's 100 lawayers driving their H2's over a cliff? A good start.
