AMSTAR ROCKS!

jp's-h3 03-08-2006 03:27 PM

First aid / Safety!

HummBebe 03-08-2006 03:27 PM

I'm gonna start emailing themm once a day till I get a response

Hal 03-08-2006 03:30 PM

My first email to Amstar got this reply back in January:

So glad you like our new H3 products. You can purchase any of our H3 products
by stopping by your local dealer and they can place the order with us.

If you have any further questions do not hesitate to ask,

"Sherry Roberts" <sroberts@mail.tecstarinc.com>

I've since tried contacting dealers all over the SE and Midwest and nobody seems to have any info on purchasing Amstar stuff. Follow up emails to Amstar have had no reply since January 27th.

Has anyone seen them at an auto show?
If anyone knows how to get this stuff or who to contact please let us all know?
Call your dealer's parts manager and tell them to take a serious look at Amstar!

Just called my dealer and he had not heard anything yet about when they would carry the AmStar line. He said he had tried to find out info but couldn't so I gave him the website to check out. I also did a whois search on the domain and this is what I got.

Villing & Company Inc.

5909 Nimtz Parkway
South Bend, Indiana 46628
United States

Administrative Contact:
DeSelm, Nathan hostmaster@villing.com
Villing & Company Inc.

(574) 277-0215

Doesn't surprise me they are in South Bend. The domain was just registered back in Oct. so they may really be in startup gear right now.

I'm going by my dealer tonight. I'll see if they have any info.

Ipedog 03-08-2006 04:13 PM

Email sent to dealer. We'll see.

bjc 03-08-2006 04:58 PM

I also got no response from my dealer.

Investigative work yielded these Amstar contacts:

Sherry Roberts 574-534-7872 (ext. 232)
Bill Thompson 574-254-2244

I left a message with each asking them to post something to this website (or their website) about availability / pricing info on the H3 accessories.

I say we keep calling them until we get a response.

HummBebe 03-08-2006 05:20 PM

Excellent work!!!!

I think we should all be calling

ckhagman 03-08-2006 05:26 PM

Nice find. Interesting the one of the persons involved in Bill Thompson. Could it be the same Bill Thompson of AM General?

Nevermind it is a partnership with AM General so I guess so.

nmikes 03-08-2006 05:33 PM

Hope Jason's payin attention... he has got to start carrying this stuff.

HummBebe 03-08-2006 06:13 PM

I just spoke with Mr. Moriarty,(didn't catch his first name) he would not commit to when they will have these items to market, but when a gave him some time frame options, he chose my 6-8 week option.

He took my personal information ( probably to have me investigated ) and asked what products I was looking foward to the most.

Front e-locker, disconnecting sway bars were my two picks. He said he would get the information to the right people and they would be contacting me soon.

They will be retailing thru dealers only.

He also asked if I would be attending the Homecoming in June.

I also let him know that there are a good deal of us who are very excited about the products and are anxiously awaiting news.

How exciting!!!!!

I tried but damn. I called them about getting my UCP and rocker rails. $709 for the UCP and $800 something for the rails

Found both for $640 shipped. Will be putting them on Friday night and testing them all weekend

jp's-h3 03-08-2006 07:43 PM

The good ole American way, PRICE GOUGING!
Amstar know's they have the H3 off-road market in the palm of their hand and they are taking advantage of it! maybe I'll keep hope alive, that some day an off-road performance company will make a quality product and sell it for a reasonable price!

bmoser1 03-08-2006 08:22 PM

I have been emailing them multiple times since Monday with no responses. You would think they would respond in some kind of way by now. Maybe they are all on vacation testing out their products.
