Ya based on the fact that it was reported as 'severely' damaged I would stay away from that. Even if you spend a few G more on your H2 you would probably be saving yourself a lot of heartache in the long run.

Dallion.
I emailed the seller the carfaxreport you posted. Here is the reply i just got from him: "I have no clue what that means other than I know the miles are actual and there was no flood damage to the truck I guarantee it. That truck still has bumper to bumper factory warranty. So you are buying it at no risk at all." |
Dallion. Any chance you can check the history for this H2 03?

Hey etg,
Check out http://www.autotrader.com/. I keep finding pretty good deals over there. I think they are worth looking. Can you answer my questions above... thanks! |
The story of this 2003 HUMMER HUMMER H2 (5GRGN23U33H117148) according to our interpretation of the information reported to CARFAX:
This SUV has had 2 owners and was owned in Ohio. It was originally registered to a company, like a bank or firm, to be used for business purposes. It has had no minor or moderate accidents reported to CARFAX. It has had no DMV-reported total loss events, like a major accident, fire or flood. It has not been reported by a DMV as having an Exceeds Mechanical Limits or Not Actual Mileage title. It has a consistent mileage history with no indication of an odometer rollback. It was driven an average of 25,641 miles per year, which is higher than the industry average of 15,000. The last odometer reading, reported on 03/28/2005, was 58,521 miles. It was not reported by a DMV as a Manufacturer Buyback (LEMON). Its basic warranty has expired. You may want to discuss an extended warranty with your dealer. The company taht is authorised Hummerdealer/service is located here in stockholm and named Rindab. You can check with them all you need to know about testresults and so on. www.rindab.se (ofcourse only swedish language in the webpage) I donīt know about finland. But in sweden itīs not possible to registrate a modified car/truck from Canada/USA. it has to be stock to be able to registrate here. Then it can be modified. |
Dallion. Thanks again! i appriciate your help.
Maybe that one is a better buy for me. 2003, adv. pack. 58xxx miles, US 33000 |
Look around some. Sometimes you can get an even better deal than that. I seen an 03 with only 28k miles on it the other day for 34k.

Seller said the truck was "not damaged att all" in the flooding.
Carfax saids it was "severly damaged". Is there any other place i can check what really have happened to it? Peter |
etg,
I would take the word of carfax over the dealer. The dealer wants to get rid of his vehicle and will tell you anything to do so. Fact is that a salvage title isn't issued just for the hell of it ![]() And a car has to sustain major damage to even get a salvage title, in the exact words 'the damage to the vehicle has to be more extensive than the fair market value of the vehicle' I would say steer clear, lots of other good H2's out there ![]() |
Dallion,
I agree. I will look for something else. thanks for all the checking you have done. Peter |
Dallion: You may be a Hummer Novice on the site karma scale, but you sure look like a pro to me. Great job. It's people like you that make our site a strong resource.

I agree with GeorgeSSSS. Without the help and information from Dallion i might have done the worst deal in my life.
THANKS! Peter |
Peter, have you seen this one?
