For a lot of people the over all size of the H2 is just too much but they love the look. Personally, if a new H2 was in my budget right now, I would be getting one rather than the H3. Unfortunately, it is out of my budget right now so I am going with the H3. It sucks, but your are correct, there are plenty of people who will buy them for the name but don't lump all H3 buyers together. I don't really care what name is on it, I am getting one for its looks and capabilities. If it was all about "See what I have" I would just get a used H2.

But like Phil said why put 250k into a track that you can only use for two models.

Its not a H2 or H1. With out mods it will go
pretty much anywhere you have the nuts(Drty)to
drive it.

I agree completely. But isn't that true of the H2 as well. At least around here anyway. I know a number of H2 owners that will more than likely never do any wheeling in them and of all that I have seen driving around, I have only seen one that looking like it just went off the pavement. I plan on wheeling my H3.

Oh don't get me wrong, i understand the reason an H2 doesn't fit most folks desires and why the H3 would or could. We're just disapointed there is such an extreme difference in size.

I doubt you could run 35's stock and 37's would require serious lift, possibly negating some of the H3's agility.

I'd be seriously considering the Colorado Supercharger since we charged the H2 and loved it.

Getting back to the tire size issue, I have not seen an H3 in the "steel" so to speak, but from the photos and the shape of fender and quarterpanel/rear-door wheel surrounds, it looks like trimming it out for larger wheels would be a fairly easy task. I can't address the wheel travel aspect.

Okay, now back to h2c-p and tonights TV viewing discussion.

Phil, I think 35s will be do able but close where your pointing out. Typically, GM’s tire envelope also includes tire chain clearance at full lock and full jounce, in most cases it lets you go up a tire size or two with no problem. Also on a leaf spring rear suspension the axil center travels rearward as the springs are compressed’ giving a little more room at that point.
