The set shown are brand new in a box, other than the one box I opened to take a pic, they are untouched. I realize you aren't aggressively trying to sell them but I can pick up this set for 450 bucks. I would think used, they'd be worth considerably less. Let me know your thoughts. Mark |
im sorry i didnt realize you already found a set to buy. i thought those pics were just of some you saw online but couldnt find for sale. If you have some local its probably easier and most cost effective just to buy those. i will just keep mine as a spare set. i would want at least $400.00 for mine and that plus shipping would be more than the 450.00 you can get brand new ones for.I wish ya the best with them and they will look great on your rig!

Thanks Atlanta,
Yeah, I can get them for what it costs the Hummer dealership for buy them... plus since it's local, there wouldn't be any shipping. Much appreciated though. Mark PS. You wouldn't happen to have pics of your truck with them on, would you? Thanks again. |
i think i may have some pics at home, i will check tonight and see. if so i will post them for ya. i think you will be happy with the look!

Thank you sir...
Much appreciated. Mark |
Actually, the wheels MC2 is currenly making are some of the best quality available. They are forged instead of cast and offer a 3 year warranty against peeling, chipping and pitting (I am sure there are some restrictions there though).

Of course, it's becoming obvious that me finding a set of 37's in 17's next to impossible. I thought I had a line on a set of Toyo's but that ain't gonna happen. I do have a set of the new Cooper tires coming so I can see what they look like. Mark |
We had a problem with the chrome peeling on one of our MC2's. Probably happened in the mud. Was replaced no questions asked. Noticed the backside of another one peeling recently but @ 41,000 miles I doubt we'll get the same treatment as before. Will let you know.

Funny thing is I got my tires in and tried to get them mounted. The tire company couldn't mount the tire on the wheel. If they turned the wheel upside down, because of the beadlock, the machine wasn't able to grab the rim.
If you tried to mount it the conventional way, they still had the same problem. I don't understand what the deal is. Obviously someone else has these wheels. And now I'm questioning the chrome peeling problem. Mark |
the beadlock ring can be taken off. if you have thr MC2s that i have all you have to do is unbolt the bolts all around the ring. I had no problem taking mine off for mounting. I dont know if your are the same or if this is what is causing your problem but hope it helps
|
We did take the ring off. You know the welded pads on the rim, well they would catch the arm. Am I missing something? I didn't think it would be a big deal but apparently that rim doesn't agree with his tire mounter.
Mark |
oh ok..yeah i know the welded pad you are talking about. i wish i knew what to tell you, they got mine mounted no problem. I would try another tire mounter.

Got them mounted today. Love the wheels but don't think they look right with lift kit.
Thanks, Mark |
do they just look too small with the lift? post pics when you get a chance
|
forget the prior post, i just saw em on the other thread! they do look kinda skinny, tread pattern looks good though.

I mounted them on my buddy's pewter H2 (stock height) and they look awesome. So awesome that if I had seen them before I lifted my truck, I probably wouldn't have. Mark |
Mark can you post a pix of what they look like on your buddys truck. I havent done the lift yet and I am looking for the right look to not do it.
Thanks |
