TN--> the interface has RCA outputs only. there is no "speaker level" outs. I'll get some pics for you guys this afternoon, but I only be able to show my amp and subs because the interface is behind the dash. you still want pix?

I'm sure everyone would still like to see the pics to give us ideas for our setups that we may not have thought of! Thanks,

wonder how much V is coming out of rca's

HappyJack 09-10-2003 07:07 PM

An RCA line level output will have a signal of around 1V to 2V with material recorded at 0.0 dB gain.

I just got off the phone with Karl at PAC and he explained to me that I can not read!

The instructions say to plug the PAC interface into the factory head unit. I plugged it into the bose amplifier (the plug is the same on both ends) and it does not work there. That is really too bad because it would be so much easier to plug it into the amp. Oh well!

Alls well that ends well.

I hope you did not take it the wrong way HappyJack when i said you did not read the instructions correctly. I'm just glad we figured it out before everybody here orders one and tries to hooks it up at the factory amp.

As for auxiliary input, we handed full control of that project to another company. So as of now, we don't know when the product will be available, but should be in a couple of months. We will update our website when it is available.

Also note for 2004 H2 Hummers, there is word that the audio system is going to change but has not been 100% confirmed. The H2 should be using a standard Bose amplifier that is not going to be on the Class 2 bus. The headunit will be a 4 channel variable output. If the pinouts is the same as a Tahoe , Sierra, or Surburban, you can use our AOEM-GM24. This will allow you to add a 4 channel amplifier instead of 2 channels.

PAC

Were cool! I know I can't read. However, it dawned on me how I got mislead. On the outside of your box is states "The C2A-GM24 takes the fixed level audio from the factory radio output before is gets to the Bose amplifier and gives a variable output. . . ."

If you want to add a four channel amp to the 2003 H2 can you use two of your C2A-GM24 units connected back to back? One set to fade to the front and the other set to fade to the rear? Would this work? Would it not be the same?

Then one more C2A-GM24 set not to fade for the subs. If I just trippled your unit sales you owe me big time.

Does anyone know of a source that has one of these units in stock currently? I can't find the C2A-GM24 anywhere.

Thanks for your help-

TouchdownTN 10-15-2003 06:00 PM

Does the PAC unit require us to run a 12V and ground or is one provided off the PAc unit from the factory wiring? Thanks,

HappyJack 10-15-2003 08:30 PM

You must run the ground. The 12V amp control comes from the PAC unit.

Cheers
