I hope so. And the way the new bumper sticks out kinda makes me think they went bigger. :shhh: |
Re: H3 ALPHA Pics and Video
Since I tow my boat all the time, I'm particularly happy about the GREATLY increased tow rating with the H3!
The front elocker will not be on the list of improvements from what I'm told BUT it'll mean that you can after market one because it'll take it. OH JOY!!!!! That H2 looks awesome with that new 6.2 and six speed. Maybe the Denali's getting the trade in too!?! |

Re: H3 ALPHA Pics and Video
That's $666.66666666666666666666666 a cylinder!!!
The $666 question is, how much would H3 owners pay for the cast iron front diff alone!? My guess is that it very well may be cheaper to simply buy a new Alpha! |
Re: H3 ALPHA Pics and Video
i really hope that the h3 alpha has more real off road stuff than what has been shown on the website. i mean, this is definitely a step in the right direction and i am certain that there are other new features not listed on the sneak peek.
how about on-the-fly tire pressure indicators and an inflation/deflation system? how about a suspension set up that comes standard with 35"x12.5" tires and capable of handling 37's without a torsion adjustment? how about a snorkel and deeper water fjording abilities? what about some of the other great things that made the h1 alpha so unique? i know the market is smaller for these types of items, but it would be great if they could be added as upgrades and still be covered under the overall vehicle warranty. if they are going to produce an alpha, they should make an ALPHA!!! right? |

The main improvements to the H1 that made it an Alpha were the engine and transmission. For the H3 its the engine and the front diff. A little bit of lift would be nice, maybe a front locker option. But come on, a snorkel, CTIS? Would you pay $60K for an H3? :twak: |
Re: H3 ALPHA Pics and Video
I knew that I was waiting for something :excited: Time to call the dealer back and put some more pressure on them and some money on the line! Maybe I have learned that patients has some virtue ;) and I'll be driving a new alpha in the fall!:dancingbanana: :D :D

F5 said he THOUGHT. However, let me add from what I have heard, the Alpha package is a fully loaded package. Similar to the lux package, but with the engine. Rumor has it, that is the only way to get the V8, but that is a RUMOR. Needless to say, I have no connections or friends in marketing.:clapping: I have a lot of questions myself, such as the chrome POS front brush guard, is that standard on the Alpha? Can I get a black one vs. the chrome bling? Just too many questions right now that only marketing can answer. However, I do have one that someone asked me and that is plug changes. After the plastic engine shield is removed, spark plug access is no problem. That shield makes it look like the engine is crammed in, but there is a lot of room between engine and body. You also have to remember, what you are seeing is a SHOW Vehicle. My worry about the chrome brush guard may not be a problem, since this is a SHOW vehicle. I would guess, sometime around May, prices, standard options and available options will be released to the dealer. Maybe earlier... |
Re: H3 ALPHA Pics and Video
I just want the part number for the front diff assembly..
I have no need for a V8 in the first place, unless it gets something to the tune of 30mpg.. You think that thing's gonna get you down a trail any faster..?? |

Early stuff was probably old acid test days, definatelly unlistenable. haha Yeah they definately weren't know for being a tight band, but more so one that could venture out into space and return to the original song just in time segue clean into the next adventure. And you know what the Hippies said when the weed ran out? "This music sucks man!" :giggling: :beerchug: |

So maybe we can upgrade to the cast iron front end and put in a front locker at the same time.

Re: H3 ALPHA Pics and Video
Maybe swap in the Alpha V8 and a NV4500 5-speed too.
