Re: Time to evaluate my purchase !

I can't believe the way everyone is reacting. Geez, the guy wanted to share some issues he had with his H3 and maybe get a little feedback and maybe some tips from the kind folks here at Elcova H3 forum. I am ashamed and, may I say, quite appalled at the despicable responses I have seen on this thread. Why, it makes me want to just get rid my H3 and maybe get a vehicle where I can join a forum where people are friendly and helpful, not outrageous and obnoxious. I mean, really people, can't we all just get along. I for one am not going to stoop to the lowest levels I have seen from some of you people. I mean, if a person wants to share something and expects a few kind words in return, they should be able to share those words and expect respectful and dignified responses. I mean are we a community, or what. When I purchased my H3, sure there were a few quirks with it, and I wondered if I had truly made the right decision. I came to the decision that.... oh, I just can't do this anymore.... just kidding!!!! Ha Ha! I knew this was going to be a good one!!!!!

Dont frequent too many forums, do ya? This is about the nicest place I have found. Try taking a look into the Audi forum. :twak: I think a lot of people get pissed because trolls constantly come in here and try to bust everyones balls. Second the guy made the decision to buy the car. Wisha Haddan H3 nailed it, warranty issues can be handled with dealer, and cosmetics?...well he made the decision to buy the car and needs to start writing letters to GM if he thinks they are responsible for fixing some of those things. Sometimes you have to give up a few amenities or comforts in order to get the performance. And all due respect to you my friend, Im not here to bust any balls, and I agree people can be harsh, but he did have the ultimate decision to buy the car, and can trade it in tomorrow if he wanted too. Dont cry about what you cant change, fix it,live with it, or get rid of it. :beerchug:

Did you guys think I would leave because a couple of fan-boys can't take honest criticism??? :giggling:

Hey, I'm glad all of you are so overwhelmingly happy with your choice. But it seems that some of the replys are bent on trying to troll for a reaction. Its cool, I've been around Forums for a LONG time, back to BBS days actually (Before many of you were out of diapers)

As far as this forum, my biggest complaint is that there is very little posting or threads. Go to CorvetteForum.com where I am known by the same handle. Or GlockTalk.com

I will say this one last time since the haters seem to never quote me on this part of my posts. I AM HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE AND LIKE THE TRUCK !!!
I just wanted a little bit of response on the issues I have seen....

Here is a REAL ironic little nugget. My earlier posts today were when I could sneak away from meetings at work to see what you kind people had left in the form of feedback. When I got home tonight, guess what was waiting for me? A J.D. Power survey ! To be honest, I had only two gripes that I registered with JD Power, the paint job and the seat heater button location.

I agree that my remarks on the XM and the Stereo are kind of minor, personal gripes that are not actually faults but more of personal taste.

Re: Time to evaluate my purchase !

Let me start out by saying I have had my H3 for six months. It was not til month three that I had problems minor problems axle seal, steering shaft problems. Had steering shaft fixed yesterday. I LOVE MY H3. I do not have a corvette sitting in my garage. My H3 is my daily driver. I come from the jeep family to H3 family. you want to talk about a bad radio ride in a wrangler. And as far as the paint that gives a truck a personality. I don't know any other H3 or jeep owners that go around and look that close at a paint job. ding and scratches are stories of where you've been. The gas milage in the H3 is good as far as i see. considering its a lunch box on wheels. no offense. Over all I am very happy with mine and beleave I will by another one in the future. I've been on jeep forums before and I think this is by far on of the best around as far as support and help from members. I am a newbie to this forum and value everybodies opinon on here. thank you to all for help and support.

I dont think that was a flame job, bud.
If I may quote myself: "And all due respect to you my friend, Im not here to bust any balls, and I agree people can be harsh,"

If you were kidding...my bad. Its hard to judge intentions and feelings from reading. Still no hard feelings. Im not here to flame, but again we only are responsible for our decisions. :beerchug:

I figured it out with my entry and exit of the vehicle. if you "sit" on the edge to get in or out the seat flexes and pushes the toggle switch. I changed the way i get into the vehicle and havent done it since.

I tried doing this on purpose today and still couldn't force the switch to turn on...

I hit mine every now and then. I'm pretty sure I hit the switch when getting into my 3. I'm only 165 so I don't think its a weight issue.

My car goes faster than that, but it only seats 2.

...took my H3 to the dealer this morning with that minor issue (suspension not level, left side of the vehicle lower then the right side), and after about an hour I got it back straightened up. The service manager told me it sometimes happens and is easy to adjust. I checked two brand new H3's on the lot while waiting, and one was tilted (towards the driver side as mine), the other was not. I was pleased to see that there wasn't any H3 on the lot (and they have many) that would look as sharp as mine (well, at least in my eyes). Love my "Like Nothing Else" and wouldn't want anything else.

Oh, I asked about Alphas, none so far, but I doubt that I'd want to swap anytime soon, if ever. I'd be losing too much on the trade-in in exchange for those 50 hp's - probably not worth to me at this time. H2's parked on the lot looked really sweet though..
