Since I don't really care about another SUV that's all I can give you.

It does have rear wiper. The back seat was very roomy. Big enough for two car seats. Can't wait to get mine next week. I think the 4-Runner would be a close comparison but the H3 looks bigger. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>You must be getting one off the first truck. Great for you! Of course I'll be surprised if it happens that fast.

How would you describe those seats? Not really cloth. Whatever, it feels very durable.

Loadedh3....where are you in Chesapeake? I am in Great Bridge?

KenP....are they going to let you have a test drive? If yes, can I go with you as they probably aren't happy with me right now....

Looking for any feasible alternative to my H2 radio problem! Actually, my husband would LOVE for me to trade my H2 for a little better fuel economy... but I fear the only trade I would make is for a NEW H2! The H3 may be a bit small for me now!

HummerNewbie 05-17-2005 11:07 AM

Guys,

Thanks for the input on the side steps. KenP I will wait to hear what co-pilot thinks of it. Lets hope we start seeing deliveries soon.

What's up with that?

h2co-pilot 05-17-2005 03:57 PM

Hey guys,

Ken is @ the dealership and wanted me to relay that the wheels on that particular H3 are 33" w/ chrome which is not factory or an option. The aforementioned 2 switches are blanks and the dealers at this point are unaware of the particular funtion.

Funpilot-

They have viewed the forum ( got a giggle )and said that everything is way cool and they understand. They said if you are interested to come check it out today 5/17 prior to 5:30pm. There is a Hummer Happening/ new showroom opening @ 6:00. Trust me the guys up there are genuine when they say that.

I will check the darn steps or ladder tonight and let you know.

HummerNewbie 05-17-2005 04:03 PM

CP,

Thanks for the update.

Here are a couple of pics. The first it the elusive rear wiper. Yes, the commision was right and there is one.

The H3 will not be available in this particular arrangement. As HCP said, the rims will not be available with the 33's. The gas cap is also unavailable.

The thought is GM produced the vehicle, and others like it, to look good and garner attention. It seems to have done the trick as this truck was seen by over 30 people yesterday who were just driving down the street. There is one exception, I guess it was loadedh3 that stopped by with the kids.

Pic of the blanks in the center stack.

Now here's a pic of the seats. They are cloth, which I don't think you can get with the chrome package, and feel extremely durable. Another case of building an attention getter.

h2co-pilot: I am still in NY so will not be back until Friday. I am glad they are ok with my situation. As such, I will buy all my factory options from them.

KenP 05-17-2005 06:01 PM

Great pics! No chrome gas cap and the wheels are different.

HummerNewbie 05-17-2005 06:05 PM

KenP,

Thanks for the great pics and the info. Glad we all have closure on the wiper and buttons issue.

I have a locksmith shop at my disposal. Is there a number on the face of the gas cap by the key hole? I'll send out a key...

usetosellhummer 05-17-2005 06:14 PM

GM will turn the dogs loose on you man!

H2chief 05-17-2005 09:17 PM

Funpilot, I am in Great Bridge also. Off of Waters Road.

H2chief 05-17-2005 09:22 PM

KenP, I have my fingers crossed that it will be on the first truck. I am fourth on the list. We will see next week. The material on the seats has a silky feel to it. Looks great and durable and would probably be easy to wipe the mud off of it.

Just got back from the HH. I'll let my co-pilot tell you about the height issue without the steps. We did find out that this truck and the others like it have a date with the crusher next week!

niener niener neeee-ner!

The climb in without use of the step is okay. It was about up to my mid-thigh. It was a pretty cool truck.

HummerNewbie 05-17-2005 11:35 PM

Thanks for the update about the need of steps co-pilot. Man, we are all waiting to get one and they are crushing the first ones we get to see upclose.

You're so little you look like you need a booster seat and blocks taped to the pedals.

Ken... looks like you'll be a 2 Hummer household soon. But tint her windows so she doesn't scare any children

Something must still be wrong with the Chesapeake H2O. BTW, we don't live in GB. We're in the Surprising city next door, but moving back home to VAB within the next two months. Can't wait.

KenP 05-18-2005 02:36 AM

DAJC and DRTY, you remember the stories about us cruising in the H2. It took her awhile before she realized others couldn't see her through the windows. The whole time she thought people were staring at her. Yep, about the sametime she started hating the H2.

HUMMERcustoms.com/TAZ 05-18-2005 03:47 AM

WOW Co-Pilot
Now I really do want to know if You have a sister that has Your looks and would like a nice comfortable lifestyle with lot's of travel and sports and what ever the heck She wants. I already have a big cabin cruiser, sorry no sailing to slow do not like it or at least not right now. That could change also. But anyway crusier is at the most elite and plush marina We have around and if She looks like You would really make the bow look good running around the huge lake and on the 4th watching fireworks of the top deck etc. etc. etc. etc.
I bet I could arrange for Her own H3 or who cares an H2. Oh well, it is just wishful thinking and really meant as a compliment to You. But, I sort of knew anyway about You anyway.

LOL! Jealous bitch. (H2Co-Pilot- Don't go aggro on me- I was just kidding.)

DennisAJC 05-18-2005 04:03 AM

I guess I could put up with her BOOGER fetish.

Oh Ken, you have your hands full buddy! I remember the first picture of you two. I understand now why you had the "Glazed ham" look.

funpilot 05-18-2005 09:24 AM

Ken...I am completely embarassed....honest, never knew she was a woman, let alone your wife......OOPS comes to mind, along with FORGIVE ME. I just don't participate here wondering about the gender of the participant, just the value of their input. My confusion is so great I confused her with another person on our board from Great Bridge, like me, as well. Guess it is time to put me out to pasture.
