UCP = gift, installed myself = $0

Rockrails = swapped for steps = $0 (nothing additional)

Got ya beat.

NEOCON1 03-08-2006 09:10 PM

got my uc from hummerhub 290.00 and put it on myself

HummerNewbie 03-08-2006 11:28 PM

Good deal Sewie

Nice going Bebe

Was that shipped Neo?

Those prices at my dealer did not even include install I shopped around and the best I could find on the UCP was $294 plus $110 shipping but would be a week. The rocker rails were over $700 with shipping. Lucked across a guy selling his. Paid $500 for both and the shipping came to right at $140. All in all, I am happy.

NEOCON1 03-09-2006 12:55 AM

no not shipped i had to drive a hour to their shop , but was worth it

I have a suggestion for everyone interested in Amstar. Post the products you would want in order of preference. Then someone can foreward a link to the wish list to the right person with Amstar. They can get an idea of what people want and know that there is some serious interest out there for their products. Perhaps this should be started as a new thread? I'm not sure I'm just a newbee here, help me out you veterans.

Hal 03-09-2006 01:49 PM

It's because they changed the formula for Twinkies.

I'm currently trying to get RockMonster to make one for the H3. They make fully DOT compliant Hutchinson dual beadlocks.

I sure did and was so glad to see all of the great responses to our new products. We are close on releasing the new AMSTAR H3 components and are just finishing up validation. As you know AMSTAR is a joint venture between AM General, known for HUMMER and Tecstar who has been a 2nd stage manufacturer for GM for many, many years so we will not put anything out in the field that will not perform like we say it will and last like we promise.

So, tell everyone I forwarded their sense of urgency to the AMSTAR team and it will be soon!!

Front E-Locker for the H3

I thought that was an unrealistic expectation due to insurmountable engineering problem. f5fstop?

Not sure what f5fstop said. I personally talked to Eaton and ARB, both of which told me the same answer. Diff is too small and weak. I guess AM General has more pull than me. In any case I will be buying a bunch of parts from them in the next several months. Starting with the front locker and sway bar disconnects.

Interesting, since Eaton is the manufacturer of the front locker.

Hal 03-20-2006 01:11 PM

Yes... Response!!!
I got the email from Sherry Roberts as well. If I have any $$$ left after Uncle Sam rapes me in April, it will go to Amstar purchases!

Despite the worries I still want the front locker!

Keep us posted HummBebe

The insurmountable engineering problem comes in the way of it not being profitable enough for them to make it an option!
