Ok, wait, I just put two things together...

There is paint thinner, laquer around, and distilled water in the fridge. When I was cleaning, I noticed laquer on the kitchen table.... What's that mean? There is no way in hell there should be so many cans of this stuff in an apartment. And they're not carpenters. I see polyurethane, wood hardener, wd-40, brush cleaner...I see a canvas painting on the wall. There's a lot of laxtex paint around, but it looks like the wall color.

If they were running a meth lab or anything illegal, do you think they would have been looking for a complete stranger roommate that quite possibly would rat them out. And one of the first thing potheads ask when they meet people is, do you smoke. I think you are just being paranoid and/or crazy. But if it doesn't meet your standards of living, get out of there.

And I've seen much stranger items in the fridge and scattered about in many apartments, well college apartments, it's normal. Maybe you just aren't made to have roommates, I know I wouldn't do it!

Yeah, you think they would pick some complete moron (well, a Hummer owner comes to mind). I can't see them being like hey, be our roomie, and then showing up with pot.

I find it odd. I'm at a loss really. I mean, there's no wood in here to stain or varnish... It's all plastic. But, whatever. I should probably just take a hike and let them to their means. And you don't drink distilled water, unless you're clueless. It's usually for humidifiers, and chemistry.

Just started reading this thread. I feel for you Aubs. You have my best wishes. A couple of thoughts:


That's the funniest, most accurate statement I've read in a while.

Get out, be around people you think are reasonable, normal, and comfortable to you.

Try to use some kind of intelligent professional development as a distraction. It doesn't have to be ultimately successful, but something exploratory.

If you have the means, do something fun (you live in Paradise, by the way);

Drive your H2 up the Deer Creek/Radical Hill roads near Montezuma, CO; bring camping gear; sleep in the open air on the fcuking awesome Contenental Divide; watch the shoooting stars at night; build a great campfire; watch the elk during the day; new productive thoughts will seep into your head; think about what you really want out of life that's realistic and good; take out your cell phone (it works up there) call someone important you haven't' talked to in a while;

Read books on any topic that you think might help your future direction.

Bottom line: DO STUFF. Do good stuff. Sitting around kills. It really does.

Thanks for those words. I kinda moved in here hoping that I might get to go out with some people near my age and do some stuff. The one chick does rafting in Buena Vista, and told me I should come down this week for a trip. And there's the Breck town party next weekend, and it might have been nice to have someone to hang out with. But, if they're stoners, then that kinda destroys any good fun that might come out of it.


I think tomorrow I will do some wheeling. Maybe the Shagster will come up here, or we can meet up somewhere and get out. Who knows, maybe Alec W will be free. At least I can count on fellow Hummer owners to be somewhat normal. And I doubt any are pot heads because that doesn't put you in a position to be a Hummer owner.

BTW, I have a HUGE tent, so if anyone want to go camping some weekend, I've got dividers for three rooms, or 16 people in one communal room. I used to have a little grill, but my ex has it. I have lots of flashlight though, but I don't know where they are anymore. Everything is lost in my trailer.

I know why my head hurts now. It's allergies. The puddles outside have a yellow paste on top of them... Or maybe that's the toxic waste from the meth lab.:D

I think I'll stay here for a bit, find out if anything really is going on, and then move out if it is, because then I have good cause. If not, it's cheap and I can handle (I think) putting up with these girls. At least this weekend, I have the place alone because they're off at a concert. So I can FeBreeze the heck out of the place and have it smelling nice by the time they get back. Or maybe that will get me kicked out... I'll just have Shaggy come up and he will show me the way.

I've been told by a reliable source people who use meth regulary usualy swell like cat piss.
If there's something in there that's giving you a headache and messing with you sinuses. I have to agree with everyone else GET THE H--L OUT.
I wouldn't even worry about hurt feelings.

I'd question the stuff you saw too.

If you come across something marked anhydrous amonia; RUN. THat is some nasty S--T. It's atracted to moisture and will soak into your skin. It's used by farmers as fertalizer or some such. Very very nasty stuff.

Ok, well about 3-4 hours ago I said I'd stay. But I've changed me mind. I just woke up, and my month and nose taste and smell like whatever that horrible smell is in here. My mouth tastes it! BLICK!! It's soooo nasty. It tastes planty, like I just ate a forest. So I think that there can only be one explanation for that, and that's pot. No vegetable oil I've ever encounted leaves that kind of impression. Ewwwww, I feel so dirty now....

If you want proof Alec W, maybe we can just test my urine at this point.

I doubt there was ever meth here. But those chemicals are strange.

If it was a meth lab you would know. There would be a chemical (solvent) smell that is terrible and dangerous.
Are the windows blacked out?
is there excessive trash such as duct tape rolls, coffee filters red stains, large number of over the counter drug containers and/or empty blister packs or HEET or other type of fuel containers or any of the following:
Plastic tubing, mason jars, empty pill bottles, starter fluid, rock salt, lithium batteries, peroxide? Or do they take large trash containers to the dump, versus leaving the garbage outside to be picked up?
Do they have a large number of clear containers; clean or dirty?
Are the walls extremely discolored? Might look like brownish stains.

If so, head for the hills or light a match:D .
Normally, any person who is halfway intelligent will not smoke marijuana in a meth lab. Then again, most meth producers start using the stuff in a few months, and that and the chemicals deteriorate their brain, so they might decide to light up a doobie some afternoon in the lab, which will be the last one they light up.:D

As for marijuana, it has a distinct, clean, sharp, pungent smell. However, there are some types that smell similar to a lemon tree or spice. Some low-grade product may have an ammonia smell.
If it smells like just cut grass, it is not cured properly, but might still be marijuana versus cut lawn grass.

Marijuana users love to munch on food all the time. In addition, they can appear dizzy and walk weird, act silly and giggle all the time, have red, bloodshot eyes, and forget things that recently happened. After the affects wear down a bit, they normally get very sleepy.

Being Hippie-type chicks, they may have some strange candles or other types of "things" to make the place smell weird, but not illegal.

From what people have told me,... pots gunna smell musty. Fried food is gunna smell like fried chick, french fries etc.
If the roomies have a difficult time remembering sentences, it's probably pot.
