thanks to all, especially neocon1 for showing me the pic with the 35s (or close)... looks like there isn't much room there under the fender and wonder what would happen if he turned the wheel at that moment... guess I'll find out when i put mine on :-)

btw, parking in my house is pretty tight... how far into the turning radius can you go with the 35s before it starts rubbing? 80% 50%

oh and, I get it, "not all guys"... how many lady owners do we have here? and where are you all from? I'm from LA... i've been to pismo.. not too far.. so you guys must be in CA around here?

Line-X holds up great , much better than stock plastic a-pillar and roof rails . there is also an enhancer they sell that makes it like new again . 9 months and no fade

I just painted mine. I'm starting w/Rustoleum 'Hammered' for plastic. Will match the paint on my roof rack, the wheels, and all the other plastichrome I'll be painting over the next couple weeks. I think all true black will be too Darth Vader, and the hammered is a very dark grey that seems to compliment the black H3. No pics yet (started to rain, so can't put it on), but it matches almost perfect the lower plastic bumper. I've got a couple cans of truck bed liner if I don't like it.

Total cost: $4.96 @ The Depot. Total time, about 15 minutes prep w/scotchbrite pad, another 30 minutes. Pics when it stops raining...

Hey Kenseth Fan- Here's a photoshop I did of your truck with the factory paint matched grille (I also replaced your running lights with off road lights and put your truck in a 7-11 parking lot). :D

I've seen some people put 315 75 R16, but it would seem to me the these would rub a the slightest road bump, or as soon as your steered...

Am i wrong? and can someone tell me what is the largest size off road tire I can git on the H3 without rubbing?

Thanks!!!

I put LT315 75R16 MT/R GOODYEAR WRANGLERS on mines and cranked my tbars. It does rub when I make sharp turns but clears all the way when I'm wheeling - other than that everything works just fine ;) . If you leave the tbars at the stock height then forget 35's bro, it will definitely rub you in the wrong way. The back will clear but the front will rub on the slightest road bump :

Don't buy these. They won't fit. The previous owner sold them to some sucker. Heeheee.....

It's not my house, so don't tell me about the railing needing paint.;)

Those MT/R's look great on there. How many turns on the torsion bars??

Re: largest tire to fit on stock h3?

OK so the verdict is in.
As you guys recommended, I put the 315s on. (see attached pics)
No rub AT ALL on normal street driving... even with full lock, side to side, on u-turn.
Dunno about off road yet, but will find out soon.
Speaking of which... anyone in the Los Angeles area??
Anyone knows of a local club? schedule?
:-)
