You know there is a lot of chatter abount being old on this board.

Out of curosity how old is everyone?

I'll start, I turn 39 on Friday and my H3 is making me feel like I used to when I was 18. Buy accessories and washing my car every weekend. Playing in the mud and buying more accessories.

Re: ???90 POSTS???

God, I feel old today, I have an infected varicose vein and my back hurts. Hell of a way to spend Thanksgiving. :dancingbanana:

I "retired" from the Air Force at 47. Then I went through a period of trying to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. Cowboy or fireman were in the lead, but I copped out and ended up where I am now. I don't make a LOT of money, but it's more than I deserve!:shhh: After I retired from the Air Force, I spent time doing the following:

Operations tech Royal Saudi Air Force
OTR trucker
Airline dispatcher
Accounts payable clerk
Bomb range scorer Royal Saudi Air Force
OTR truck dispatcher
Flight training scheduler
Telemarketer
Telecommunications tech

I think I've got them all. My goal after the Air Force was to have fun, and I've tried to attain that goal.

Happy Thanksgiving!:jump: :jump: :jump:

Re: ???90 POSTS???

My enlisted life was spent as a Russian linguist. I did that for ten years.

My comissioned life was spent as a Missile Combat Crew Commander, Minuteman, under South Dakota, and as a Senior Command Post Controller for KC-135Rs in Oklahoma. I retired shortly after the Cold War ended as a captain. With the draw down, a captain with 23 years was firmly in the cross hairs! I wish I was still in the Air Force, and I tried to re-join after 9-11. I was politely told I had been retired too long.

My son-in-law is active duty Air Force. He's an EOD tech. Just returned from Iraq a couple of months ago. He went when the Army ran short of EOD personnel, and they are plug and play in any service.:beerchug: So, in a way, my career continues, but vicariously.

How about the rest of you?:D
