PhilD, I'm getting the distinct feeling he's pulling your leg a little. Hope that's the case anyway.

It's the truth. And by the way PhilD, English has never been a good subject for me. Ok? So stop bugging me, Ok? =========================================== I really have no opinion on the subject here. Just bored at work. :P If my dad bought me an H1 at age 14, I sure as hell wouldn't complain. I do however admit that The Hummer H2 Man's posts are quite painful to read. I know I have forum posters like that on a few Forums I run. I personally choose to use the curse word filter as an "AOL Filter" It replaces ne1 => anyone u => you ur => your sum1 => someone etc, etc, etc... ![]() ![]() -Jim |

COOL IT MEN just because I cant spell good dosent mean I am a bad person like you guys,I have always had truble spelling OK GUYS.

No one is calling you a bad person (or persons) Is this you or the 14 year old son? you guys should REALLY get different screen names to avoid confusion.
My original problem with all of this was the fact that you plan to buy a 14 year old an H1, which in my opinion would be irresponsible parenting. Is this true, or was this the 14 year old putting words in your mouth? You never did address this issue except say that we were all jealous. Not a good way for you to get people to go easy on you... I could care less how you spell - I can usually figure it out. However, it shows a little more respect for everyone else if you can at least take the time to put a comma and period in every so often. Damn. Clear this up a little bit, and I for one will have more respect for you and get off your back.... Travis http://www.HummerTeam.com Travis - North Texas |

The best way to get rich is to have a rich father.
I started my businesses with $800 26 years ago, everything I got I made, and I used to look down on rich kids in fancy cars. A friend of mine gave his son a new BMW on his 16th birthday, the kid was angry and did not talk to his dad for months, because he wanted a Porsche. The father relented 6 months later and bought the son a new Porsche 928S4. I was so angry about that, even though it wasn't my business. I came from an average family with old fashion parents who did not give me allowance, as a teenager I had to count my dollars and cents on a date, hoping she does not order anything slightly expensive on the menu or 2 sodas. Now I worked my way up, I do not want to do the same. You are only young once, there is no reason why my sons should go through the same; my parents were good intentioned, but it was humiliating and painful to be a poor teenager with no money for a humberger or movie. I vowed not to do that to my own children. There are rules, right and wrong, black and white, strict manner and education, but they do not have to wait or work for the new X-Box, PS2, new games, PCs, skateboards, BB/airsoft guns, Japan or Europe. 2 years later if now-14-yrs-old boy wants my H2, that is not out of the question, if we think he can overall handle it. |
BTW, that friend's son is now a young executive in major holding corporation, on his own without father's help, married with kids. Spoiled brat can turn out to be upright successful person too.
