That is a great shot! It must have been right before I slid down off the wall.

That was the first time I have wheeled with H1's. WAtching OMA, NOMO, and Genesee was a lot fun. I want an H1 even more now. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Wish you could have been with us in the Sand on Friday - driving through a washout gulley full of loose sand at 50mph w/ turbos fully wound up, sand roosers flying every few seconds, a caravan of 8,000# vehicles flying up on the sandy banks of the gulley to make the corners - it was like a cross between Daytona & the Baja!

I was so torn when I didn't follow you guys. I have been to alot of places but I had no rear locker...don't know if I neededed it (advice anyone)...and I listened to someone who said it would be tough in a 5 speed. I no longer believe it. The locker may have been an issue along with the street tires...but I think I should have and could have gone for it. (also remembering the wife in my head saying.."please don't do it". Never should have shown her that bronco video.)

Should have gone up...next time probably.

LMFAO! Adam is a real Saint! All of you guys are awesome! Thanks.
NEO: glad you're on your way home!

I'm bummed out I wasn't there to wheel with everyone. I would like to have met more of the H1 folks too. NOMO; nice to finally meet you. There's always next time!

I'm glad you posted that statement. I couldn't figure out who you were. I was totally lost....

BTW, love the color.

At one point someone said we should all have our forum names on our plates to help identify ourselves. I usually go by LVS, but someone already had it when I registered here so I just made up OMA because I live hear Omaha. It's kinda stupid!

I love that picture of Lion's Back!

Change it to "Hell's Angel"- DO NOW!

It was cool to see the H1 guys out there. I liked that guy with the racoon.

X2 on meeting NoMo/Tookie. In fact when I met him- I liked him so much I trusted him with my life on Escalator the next day. Thanks again.

Fun thread. I learnt more about tie rods than I had ever thought to ask (forget my question about them on another thread). Nice pictures from all but dang, Fubar's and KenP's avatars are distracting (in a nice way ).

Question: I saw that some brought along gas tanks, was extra gas needed on the trails by all the vehicles or were you all able to fill up each day somewhere off trails?

Fubar 05-01-2006 02:19 PM

There are several gas stations in Moab so filling up each morning is not a problem. White Rim being 90 miles long and by the book requiring 2 days to complete you might want some extra gas along but for many of the trails in Moab the need for extra gas cans is not a necessity.
