Re: H3T Spy Shots? Looks like it!
If they make the 4-door and an extended cab GM will sell more trucks!
And GM need to sell more cars, trucks and SUV's Fast!! Some people want a 4-dr truck others want a longer bed with and extended cab. Toyota does it with the Tacoma so It can't be that difficult I think it is the same frame on the 4 door with short bed and the extended cab with a 6-foot bed (at least it was on the older models). |
Re: H3T Spy Shots? Looks like it!
:iagree:
There was a thread on here recently about giving up a pickup to buy the H3: http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/s...ghlight=pickup I remember some people had gone back to the pickup. So there's a demand I'm sure for people who want to retain the benefits of a truck bed and still have a Hummer. They're probably not represented here right now because they went with a pickup over the H3. I think a version with 2 doors, or extended cab, with an 8ft bed would be a great addition. That way you can still squeeze in 4 passengers and have 8ft of bed. |
Re: H3T Spy Shots? Looks like it!
I wish they would make an H2 HD 1-Ton Pick-up with a real bed too.
|
Re: H3T Spy Shots? Looks like it!
Yeah, that would probably sell like crazy. I can imagine a lot of people would buy it for towing.
They should be mixing something like that into the H2 lineup. I think it would be helpful. |

There definitely was an H2 pickup in the works, don't know what happened to it... The book on the H3 had a picture of all the GM Hummer designers and in it was the H2 pickup in the back |

Canceled, but at GM it could be resurrected at any time. |

I've been hiding from the Hummer people lately due to the front diff and the rear axle groan and this week jumping on them about the t/case fill procedure being all screwed up. They are beginning to think I'm a trouble maker. (I am :jump: ). I'll suggest it next time I see them.... I think there is a possibility it will come back someday, but when???? |

2008 would be my suggestion. :jump: I'll even take one of their test mules to Moab for them. |

Found this, this morning on my puter...with an automatic search program that runs on my computer
RYD Spy Shots: HUMMER H3 SUT Posted Oct 4th 2006 3:39PM by Randall Halcomb Filed under: Spy Photos, SUVs, Trucks/Pickups, GM, HUMMER ![]() This is obviously the SUT version of the H3, but we're still looking for the H3T concept to make it to production as a dedicated truck, one we'd gladly choose over a Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon. Lutz did hint that this was a possibility, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. [Source: LLN]

I wonder if the bed will actually be separate, it looks a bit long for the midgate system. I would much rather just get a Canyon crew cab, avoiding looking like a poser and pissing off fringe environmentalists. http://autos.msn.com/research/compare/default.aspx?c=0&n=3&i=0&tb=0&ph1=t0&ph2=t0&dt=1&v =t100647&v=t100980 The big problem is that the H3/Canyon drivetrains suck compared to the Nissan Xterra and Frontier. The military HUMVEE is built in Mishawaka, Indiana. The Hummer H1, the civilian version of the HUMVEE, is no longer in production. The Hummer H2, more civilianized, experenced slowed production some months ago and now rumors are hot and heavy among the UAW Local 5 members, that production numbers will not only be cut again, close to 100 workers will be laid off. The Hummer H3, the one in this blog, is of course made elsewhere. How do I know this news? I live in Mishawaka, Indiana. Posted at 5:10PM on Oct 4th 2006 by JackOfShadows 0 stars 11. another load of american junk from GM made with that pathetic 5 cyl buzz bomb of a motor. Posted at 5:20PM on Oct 4th 2006 by Paul 0 stars 12. Another evidence that styling alone will sell a car/truck. The H3 is just a ugly to me as its bigger brothers (and it's a good thing because it looks just as manly macho man - village people style) The H3 has all the visual clues that makes it look much higher and much bigger than it actually is. This is why it sells so well (being so cheap helps too) At least GM has this one right: sell on looks. Same thing DCX did with the 300. Looks badass, sells alot. I see a big mistake there: the bed is long. It has a big ole' rear overhand that will destory the truck rear approach angle. There goes Hummer's credibility on off-road. And there goes the prime foundation of Hummer. Posted at 7:57PM on Oct 4th 2006 by AMcA 0 stars |
