I lasted about a week and decided they were all lying, cheating scumbags and I just couldn't do it. Nor did I feel I could trust any of them for the same reasons... And I didn't really want to end up one of "them" :) (Applies flame-retardant suit :popcorn: :D)

So I'm working on trying to get into the wholesale end now.

GM is supposed to be introducing 7 new vehicles at the NY Auto Show next month... I haven't seen a list of these yet and am hoping one will be a new or upgraded Hummer.

Dude, drink a cold one wouldja? You'd SERIOUSLY wouldn't buy a Hummer because of color choices?!? Sounds like something a chick would say: "I like the Vikings because they wear purple" (just yankin' your chain) Yellow's my choice but if it's not available, I don't give a frickin' rip if they're tittty pink, I'm gettin' a machine with a real engine in it, not some parts bin marginalization that leaves me wanting more. The jeep certainly doesn't fill that bill, nothing else does except for the Dodge Powerwagon and it's big, it drinks gas as bad as an H2, and well, it's a Dodge. We'd have an H2 but for the mileage thing and an H2 just doesn't make sense for what we need it for (we already have a Denali)

I'm sorry you're so cynical about the papers. This is the sales manager at the Hummer dealership. He's a good guy, I know him pretty well by now. Every time I've called or stopped by and asked about the V8, he's said "Not yet" "No word yet" "It's a rumor" He's been very much on the up and up with me and he was very excited to see me to tell me about this. He's not the kind of guy that wants to look foolish, so I believe him.

What's your motivation for being such a nay sayer guy? Is the V8 just something you abhor? Is it that you don't want it to happen? You don't believe it is true? Or maybe you think the early news of the V8 coming out will harm current sales and make people want to put off buying an H3 until the V8 comes out? :)

Yup, I like the hope thing. It makes my day to live hopefully. I buy three lottery tickets every week too. I think my odds of driving a V8 H3 will occur long before I win the lottery.:dancingbanana:

he's not cynical of the papers..he's cynical of the people who now believe its coming, when most people on this board have known it IS coming for a looooong time, and have been hinting at it...

.... and soooooooooo many people have been making STATEMENTS that it is coming and it will be a six door selectable deisel to gas to steam engine.

My dealer (and other dealers) have been saying "it's coming in, June, July, Aug.....blah bliggity blahhhhhhh) GREAT! At some point we'll see something!!

I think the point that F5 is making is that there are only one or two people on this board that know for sure (and have factual first hand info.)
....and laugh at all the non-factual comments that may or may not be steering people in the wrong dirrection. ??:popcorn: ??

My point earlier in this thread was we weren't getting diddly from this forum on the upcoming V8, so I spit it out when I heard it from somebody reputable at the dealership.

<cough cough> F5 has been 'speculating' for some time...F5 speculating about a possible, and likely V8 is like a member of the federal reserve board speculating interest rates are going to tank next week. Yes, it may be 'speculation,' but if you don't take it seriously you're crazy....

The speculation is old news here and in all the various car mags and publications I read. The info here wasn't coming any earlier or in any greater detail. Specifics are finally starting to come out whiich is nice.

It's been hinted at for months on here by people in the know. They're not going to just come out and give you all the details. Would you if it might mean your job? :rolleyes:

No offense to Huck, but like was said before, many on here were able to read between the lines and already knew the V8 was reality.

Just stating the facts. No more details here any earlier than anywhere else is all I'm saying. I don't expect anybody wants to lose their job over this and it's certainly not worth it in my opinion, plus they are busy looking for work elsewhere.

But the good news it that GM is showing continous improvement with successful products such as the H3 instead of waiting for sales declines.

Why doesn't anyone believe me ? On SuperBowl Sunday they showed several H-3's on South Beach (no cameras allowed, including cell phones)

A V-8 in a std body painted CAMO. A TRUCK painted CAMO hood closed, and a couple of others...

If I make a decision on a vehicle purchase because of the color it is my decision NOT YOURS, and I could care less what you think. The new colors are not exciting to me; however, after I actually seem them on a H3, I might change my mind. However, right now, Hummer offers NO colors that I like other than white, and I already have white.
Read the threads, I am only a naysayer because you say you saw it, and yet all you have seen is a piece of paper. A piece of paper, unless it is your order, means squat.
Only thing I will agree with is the odds of a V8 coming out is better than the odds given in most lottos.
