Damn, all this time and I did not realize that there was an H3, I just assumed they were a new style of Jeep Cherokee Laredos:giggling:

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
Im 20 I have a drivers lisence. Because you were so much help I did go drive one again today, over at reeves hummer. Believe me or not that my family has owned many hummers, you are nothing to me, And I dont care who you think I am. I dont have to go on a forum and make masturbation jokes to seem cool/tough. How old are you buddy like 30, 40, 50? wouldnt know cause your profile doesn't tell me. Im not going to lower myself to your level but man get over yourself, grow a pair, and get a life. oh and thats the last time I will waste any of my time on you, so even if you keep the grade school bs, i wont respond to it. So grow up.
For everyone else the h3 this time seemed a lot better. Might have been that the first one I drove had big 20 inch rims on it. This one had factory rims and tires. I got a chance to even take it on the highway which was nice. I'll wait for the h3 alpha before I buy anything but I think im pretty sold on just a regular h3, anything more might be overkill. dеiтайожни you = the man |
Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
Amazing how a simple test drive can answer all of your questions, now isn't it?

Wow what a boring thread.... anyway I dont know if you got your answer but when I was buying my H2 I decided to consider getting my wife the H3, however I test drove it and it is exactly what your not wanting. It is way way way underpowered, I could not believe how much so. just my .02

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
if you want fast, buy a sports car...if you want rugged off road ability dont buy a sports car...have you ever heard of anyone discussing the approach angle of a vette versus the viper...cause no one cares....dont buy an apple if you want orange juice...

Funny you mention that! I was just discussing the approach angle of the Murci?lago vs the Gallardo. Trying to figure out which one would receive the least damage attempting to go up a particular driveway and over certain speed bumps. :dancingbanana: |
Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
Murci?lago, btw.

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
I apologize in advance for not having read all of the posts in this thread, but my $0.02:
I just took my H2 in to the dealer today to get an OnStar module replaced. They gave me a 2007 H3 loaner. I have never driven one with the 3.5L, but the 07 with the 3.7L was way quicker than I imagined it would be. After all of the bad press, I expected it to be a dog. Perhaps I have low expectations (I'm one of the people who thinks that the H2 does not need to be any faster - I've never really wanted or needed to puch that massive beast any faster than it goes). I enjoy driving fast cars, but I don't really enjoy drving my H2 around like a race car. I've been considering getting an H3 for my wife fairly soon. I might have already done so, but I was dreading the slowness of the vehicle and thought we should see what the pricing on the Alpha would be. After today (though I'd rather have the Alpha-everything else being equal), I'm not sure I'd pay much more for one. The 3.7L H3 seems plenty fast to me. Granted, it did not have the 33" tires, but I can't believe that will make a huge difference. |

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
2006 H3 will lose to a 2006 H2, but not by that much, and it is not the dog everyone says it is. It will get up and go, and runs 90 all day long...well so long as the fuel remains.
2007 H3 will stay pretty much even with the 2007 H2. Just a note: the 2008 Alpha will kick the 2007 H2's rear end (well, maybe not kick but beat:D ). I have not had the privalege to try out a 2008 Alpha against a 2008 H2, since I'm having problems finding the 6.2L H2.:shhh: More to come:giggling: |

thanks f5, Ive driven several h3's and even had one as a rental car for a few days between the time I wrote this post up. Your right, the h3 really is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but I'll wait for the alpha, I like to know i have a lot of power behind me. The alpha Im sure will beat the 2007 h2, but with the increase of hp in the 2008 h2 it should be interesting to see how quick they are. Looking forward to seeing more of these updated trucks. |
