Im thinking that may be the place Alan popped a bead and then smashed up his spare valve stem--trail 8 i think.

I wasn't there on Saturday but think that is where I came down last time at Fain's Ford. That spot looks totally difference than the last time. We also took a harder line coming out of the creek this time which was fun. Got to get all my pics together and start uploading.

Those that were there last time probably won't believe what we did Saturday night. We took a GMC 6500 with a 48' trailer up trail one to get an H1 with a broken steering box and did a u-turn up close to the pay station. It was nuts and wouldn't have thought it could be done

We did end up getting to see a few trucks run Lower 2 on Sunday morning. Unfortunately there weren't any real buggies running but cool to see.

Bobby from IORC was going to run it but one of the other guys talk him out of it because we were not sure how we would get his H1 out of there with an air lift if he busted something

It's a good thing too because all the bolt on his steering box busted coming down #1 later in the evening :(

Undercarriage looks good

Dei, the tape really helped. I thought I'd scraped the paint on the right rear fender but it just rubbed the tape off and left the adhesive. Knocked the tailight off but it just popped right back in.

I feel fortunate as the end of weekend damage assessment was a broken license plate frame.

Thanks to everyone who went for all your help and making it an awesome trip! Can't wait to do it again...

You two should have come. You know how much fun we had last time but this time just blew that away. On the trails we just kept on moving and probably did twice as much as we did total the last trip on Sunday alone. Staying at the cabins was definitely the way to go too. Cook outs every night and cutting the drive in half to and from the trails really added a lot to the trip.

It never effected us but they are apparently really cracking down out there. Saturday night they had a DUI check point coming back from town and Sunday afternoon they were giving everyone breathalyzers and searching vehicles for alcohol coming off the trails at the pay station.

Unfortunately this pic didn't come out so good and you can't tell but this outside our cabin and there are a bunch of Hummers of all kinds and 20-30 people have a big cook out

Re: Tellico in late July/early August?

That pic really don't do it justice. (I hate that I didn't get a pic). The driveway looked like a dealership. I think in total we had 5H1's, 1H2, 3H3's (and of course...the odd ball Toyota....but he's good peoples;) )

The cabin was really nice. Big kitchen, 2 bathroom, a screened in back porch, hardwood floors, only thing missing was the internet. One of the H1 guys stayed in a cabin at "Tellico Cabins", now those are even closer to the trails...I think only 2miles from Trail 1. Might have to check those out next time.

I'd have to say this was probably the best trip I've been on thus far.
Like Alan told me: it was a 9.5 out of 10!!!!!!!!:D
